FUEL INFORMATION
Compatible fuels for gasoline engines
Gasoline engine (model with three-way catalyst)
The gasoline engines are compatible with
current and future European standards for
bio-fuel.
RECOMMENDED SAE VISCOSITY NUM-
BER
CAUTION:
Do not use leaded gasoline. Using leaded
gasoline will damage the three-way catalyst.
Gasoline conforming
to EN228 and mixed
with a bio-fuel con-
forming to EN15376.
QR25DE engine model:
For Thailand:
Use UNLEADED PREMIUM gasoline with an
octane rating of at least 95 (RON).
Use UNLEADED REGULAR gasoline or gasohol
(up to E20*) with an octane rating of at least 91
(RON).
If unleaded premium gasoline is not used,
UNLEADED REGULAR gasoline with an octane
rating of at least 91 (RON) may be used at
slightly reduced performance. However, for
maximum vehicle performance and the best
driveability, the use of unleaded premium
gasoline is recommended.
*: Gasohol is alcohol blended gasoline. For
example, “E20” is a mixture of approximately
20% fuel ethanol and 80% unleaded gasoline.
For Mexico:
Use UNLEADED REGULAR gasoline with an
octane rating of at least 87 AKI (Anti-Knock
index) number (Research octane number 91).
Diesel engine*
Diesel fuel above 51 cetane and with a max-
imum of 50 ppm of sulfur (EN590) must be
used.
Except for Thailand and Mexico:
Use UNLEADED REGULAR gasoline with an
octane rating of at least 91 (RON).
*
If two types of diesel fuel are available, use summer
or winter fuel properly according to the following
temperature conditions.
MR20DD engine model:
For Thailand:
.
.
Above 7°C (20°F) ... Summer type diesel
fuel.
Use UNLEADED REGULAR gasoline or gasohol
(up to E20*) with an octane rating of at least 91
(RON).
Below 7°C (20°F) ... Winter type diesel fuel.
*: Gasohol is alcohol blended gasoline. For
example, “E20” is a mixture of approximately
20% fuel ethanol and 80% unleaded gasoline.
CAUTION:
.
.
Do not use home heating oil, gasoline or
other alternate fuels in your diesel en-
gine. The use of those or adding those to
diesel fuel can cause engine damage.
Except for Thailand:
Use UNLEADED REGULAR gasoline with an
octane rating of at least 91 (RON).
Do not use summer fuel at temperatures
below 7°C (20°F). The cold temperatures

AIR CONDITIONER SYSTEM REFRIGER-
ANT AND LUBRICANT
The air conditioner system of your vehicle must
be charged with the specified refrigerant and
compressor oil or equivalent.

CAUTION:
Use of any other refrigerants or lubricants
will cause severe damage, and you may need
to replace your vehicle’s entire air condi-
tioner system.
The release of refrigerants into the atmosphere
is prohibited in many countries and regions.
The refrigerant in your vehicle will not harm the
Earth’s ozone layer. However, it may contribute
in a small part to the global warming effect.
