FITTING ROOF BARS
Lifting
(2 wheels only on the road)
It is preferable to raise the vehicle by
the wheels.
Never use the radiator crossmem-
ber.
When fitting transverse roof bars,
use the accessories recommended
by PEUGEOT and follow the manu-
facturer’s fitting instructions.
For further information, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Towing with fours wheels on the road
must be carried out at very low speed
over a very short distance (in accord-
ance with the legislation in force).
In all other cases, your vehicle must
be transported on a trailer.
TOWING YOUR VEHICLE
Maximum weight authorised on
the bars, for a loading height not
exceeding 40 cm (except bicycle
carrier): 50 kg.
Your vehicle can only be towed at
the front.
If the height exceeds 40 cm,
adapt the speed of the vehicle to
the profile of the road to avoid
damaging the roof bars.
Without lifting
(4 wheels on the road)
You should always use a towbar.
The removable towing eye is stored
in the spare wheel, under the boot
carpet.
Unclip the bottom of the cover,
Screw in the towing eye until it
locks.
When your vehicle is be-
ing towed with the engine
switched off, there is no brak-
ing or steering assistance.
Please refer to national leg-
islation in order to comply
with the regulations concern-
ing the transportation of ob-
jects which are longer than
the vehicle.
Place the gear lever in posi-
tion N for the "2 Tronic" gear-
box.
