Visibility -> Windscreen wiper stalk for Your Peugeot 607 4 Door First Generation (1999-2010)

In the event of a malfunction, the  
driver is informed of this by a message  
on the multifunction display.  
In AUTO mode, the wipers will then  
operate in intermittent mode.  
Maintenance position  
This position enables the wiper blades  
to be removed.  
In the minute following switching off of  
the ignition, any action on the wipers  
stalk positions the wipers at the top  
of the windscreen (parking in winter,  
cleaning, replacement of the blades).  
Automatic windscreen wiper  
The automatic wiping is controlled by a  
rain sensor, fitted on the windscreen.  
In AUTO mode, the wipers operate  
automatically and adjust their speed  
to the intensity of the rainfall.  
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have  
the system checked.  
To reposition the wipers after this has  
been done, switch on the ignition and  
operate the stalk.  
Do not cover the rain sensor,  
located on the windscreen  
behind the interior mirror.  
Windscreen and headlamp wash  
Pull the windscreen wiper stalk  
towards you.  
The windscreen wash then the wind-  
screen wipers operate for a fixed  
period.  
Activation  
When using a car wash, switch  
off the ignition.  
In winter, it is advisable to wait until the  
windscreen is completely clear of ice  
before activating the automatic wip-  
ers.  
When parking in snowy weather, posi-  
tion the blades at the top of the wind-  
screen (maintenance position) to pre-  
vent the accumulation of snow.  
This warning light comes  
on on the instrument panel,  
accompanied by a message  
on the multifunction display,  
when the driver presses the  
wipers stalk down in AUTO mode.  
The headlamp wash is also activated,  
if the headlamps are on.  
Screenwash/headlamp wash low  
Deactivation  
When the minimum level  
of the reservoir is reached,  
this warning light comes on,  
accompanied by an audible  
signal and a message on the  
multi-function display.  
This warning light comes  
on on the instrument panel  
when the driver moves the  
wipers stalk to position I, 1  
or 2.  
Next time you stop, fill the screenwash/  
headlamp wash reservoir.  
If the reservoir is empty, the warning  
light comes on when the ignition is  
switched on, or every time the stalk is  
operated, until the reservoir is filled.
