The system maintains brake pressure for ap-  
proximately two seconds after the foot is taken  
the brake pedal, to prevent the vehicle from  
moving when it is started. During these 2 sec-  
onds, the driver has enough time to release  
the clutch pedal and accelerate without the  
vehicle moving and without having to use the  
parking brake, making moving easier, more  
comfortable and safer.

want to prevent the vehicle from rolling back  
when starting oꢀ, hold the brake pedal down  
for a few seconds beforehand.  
WARNING  
The downhill speed control cannot defy the  
laws of physics. Therefore, speed cannot be  
maintained constant in all situations. Always  
be prepared to use the brakes!

can tell you whether your vehicle is equipped  
with this system.

power steering only works when the engine is  
running.  
The assistant can only change down as far as  
3rd gear. It is possible that on very steep slopes  
you may have to switch to tiptronic mode and
