9 Warning
Take care when operating the electric
windows 3. Risk of injury, especially for
children. Inform vehicle occupants.
If there are children occupying the rear
seats, switch on child safety system for
rear windows 3, see next page.
Keepa close watch on the windows when
closing them. Ensure that nothing
becomes trapped in them as they move.

Operable when the ignition key is in
position 1 (see page 9).
To operate window in stages, tap
Door windows
appropriate switch.
The door windows can be operated with
the crank.
Button illumination indicates operational
readiness.
For automatic opening or closing, keep
switch pressed for slightly longer.
Operational readiness ends when the
driver’s door is opened.
To stop window movement, tap switch
again.
Operated with two or four cross switches in
driver’s door armrest: topcross switches for
driver’s and front passenger’s door
windows, and bottom cross switches 3 for
the rear windows.
Safety function
If the window glass encounters resistance
above the middle of the window d uring
automatic closing, it is immediately
stopped and the window opened again.
There are also cross switches in the front
passenger’s door arm rest and in the rear
door armrests 3.
If the windows do not move easily (e.g. on
accountof frost), repeatedly tap the switch
for the a ppropriate window until the
window has been closed in stages.
