LOCKS AND ALARM
Keyless Drive* - interference to
Keyless Drive* - locking
NOTE
remote control key function
Cars equipped with keyless start and lock sys-
tem have a touch-sensitive area on the outside
handle of the doors and a rubberised button
next to the tailgate's rubberised pressure plate.
In cars with automatic gearbox selectors, the
gear selector must be set to the P position;
otherwise the car can be neither locked nor
alarmed.
Electromagnetic fields and screening can inter-
fere with the remote control key's keyless func-
tions (p. 165).
NOTE
NOTE
Do not place/store the remote control key
with keyless function near a mobile phone or
metal object - no closer than 10-15 cm.
Be aware that the system may be activated in
connection with car washing if the remote
control key is in range.
If interference is experienced nonetheless, use
the remote control key and the key blade like a
remote control key in basic version (p. 156).

Lock the doors and the tailgate by grasping one
of the door handles or pressing the smaller of the
tailgate's two rubberised buttons - the lock indi-
cator (p. 158) in the windscreen confirms that
locking has been completed by starting to flash.
