Note

The relay carrier is installed on a bracket under the dash panel

on driver side.

Removing

– Switch off ignition and all electrical consumers, and withdraw

ignition key.

– Remove battery ⇒ page 8 .

– Unscrew bolts and nuts -arrows-.

– Remove dash panel ⇒ General body repairs, interior; Rep.

gr. 70; Dash panel.

– Remove relay carrier.

– Release and disconnect all connectors on relay carrier.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

Removing

– Switch off ignition and all electrical consumers.

– Pull out ignition key.

– Remove dash panel ⇒ General body repairs, interior; Rep.

gr. 70; Dash panel; Removing and installing dash panel.

– Unscrew nut -2- from relay carrier -1-.

– Remove relay carrier.

– Disconnect all connectors.

– Push relay carrier -1- to right, and remove it.

– Disconnect all connectors.

Removing

– Disconnect negative battery terminal ⇒ Electrical system;

Rep. gr. 27; Battery; Disconnecting and connecting battery.

– Press catches -arrows-, and detach cover -1- from fuse hold‐

er -SA- -2-.

– Unscrew nuts -1-, -4- and -5-.

– Detach wiring, and make a note of positions of wires on fuse

holder A -SA- -2-.

– Insert screwdriver into openings -3-, and press catches in

direction of -arrow- outwards.

– Remove fuse holder A -SA- -2-.

Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal, observing the following:

Removing and installing fuse holder C

-SC-

Removing:

– Switch off ignition and all electrical consumers.

– Disconnect battery ⇒ page 11 .

– Pull both red levers -arrows-, and swivel fuse holder down‐

wards.

– Remove bolts -arrows-.

– Release and disconnect all connectors on fuse carrier.

Installing:

Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence of removal.

– Pull out ignition key.

General description:

Using the electric interface for external use (UF1), body builders

can access selected parts of the onboard supply system in or‐

der to connect special equipment to the onboard supply system.

Before using the electric interface for external use, always ob‐

serve the comprehensive set of regulations and information

in the ⇒ Body builder guidelines Amarok

The connectors of the electric interface for external use -1- are

located on the wiring harness behind the fuse box. They can be

accessed via the driver footwell.
