Seats -> Adjusting the backrest on the second row of seats for Your Volkswagen Caddy SUV Fifth Generation (2020-2025)

Incorrect adjustment or removal and fitting of the rear seats can cause accidents and severe injuries.
Keep hands, fingers, feet and other body parts away from the moving parts of the seats.
All adjustments as well as removing and fitting should be carried out only when the vehicle is stationary,
otherwise the rear seats could move suddenly when the vehicle is in motion. Furthermore, an incorrect seating
position is adopted while adjusting the seat.
All rear seats must always be fitted in their retainers and must be securely engaged.
All backrests must be in the upright position and securely engaged in this position while the vehicle is in motion.
While fitting and removing the rear seats, make sure that the seat feet are not soiled or damaged.
WARNING
Cigarette lighters in the vehicle could be damaged or accidentally lit. This could lead to serious burns and other
injuries.
Before adjusting the seats ,always ensure that there is no lighter on or near the movable parts of the seat.
Before closing stowage areas or compartments always make sure that there is no lighter in the way.
Never stow lighters in stowage areas, compartments or on other surfaces in the vehicle. High surface
temperatures, especially in summer, may cause cigarette lighters to self-ignite.
NOTICE
Sharp edges can damage the seats.
Do not touch the seats with sharp-edged objects. Sharp objects, such as zips, rivets on clothing or belts, may
damage surfaces. Open Velcro fasteners can also cause damage.
The belt status indicator must be approved by a qualified workshop if seats are replaced or retrofitted at a
later date, for example a third row of seats is added . Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles recommends using a
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles dealership for this purpose.
