Automatic light switching
From August 2016, vehicles require automatic light activation for the European type approval.
The function is achieved via various sensors according to the equipment.

Rain and light sensor G397 in the interior mirror base or
light sensor G399 in the middle on the dash panel
The sunlight penetration photosensor G107 is generally used to regulate the Climatronic. The additional light
sensor G399 that is responsible for automatic light activation is located on the printed circuit depending on the
variant.
