In recirculation mode, there is no fresh air supply  
from the outside. This can result in loss of driver  
attention and fogging up of windows.  
Automatic activation of the cooling system  
Automatic activation of the cooling system prevents  
the windows from misting up. Switching on takes  
place under the following conditions:  
Keep the recirculation mode switched on for  
a short time only.

The blower is switched on.  
The air distribution control is in the position.  
Operating conditions for the cool-  
ing system  
In this case, the recirculation mode is switched off  
and cannot be switched on.  
Outside temperature above 2 ° C  
Running engine

air conditioning.  
With a temperature setting outside of the number  
range, one of the following icons will be displayed in  
the Climatronic display:  
Windscreen heating switches off automatically after  
some time.  
If the engine is switched off when the heating is on  
and turned back on again within about 10 minutes,  
the heating is continued.

When the air conditioner is operating, the en-  
gine idle speed may increase automatically.

When the cooling system is switched on, water can

Analogue instrument cluster  
The ventilation is switched on with maximum venti-  
lation output. By repeatedly pressing the button, the  
ventilation output is reduced until it is switched off.  
Overview  
Overview of instrument cluster  
The ventilation output is indicated by the number of  
illuminated indicator lights in the button.  
The ventilation can be adjusted with the igni-  
tion on. The ventilation is only switched on af-  
ter the engine has been started.
