WARNING
Folding the rear seats forwards and backwards carelessly could result in serious injuries. If a seat is occupied and the backrest has not
clicked securely into place, the seat occupant and backrest may move forwards in the event of a sudden braking or driving manoeuvre
or during accidents.
● Never fold the rear seat backrest forwards or backwards while the vehicle is in motion.
● Ensure that the seat belt is not trapped or damaged when folding back the rear seat backrest.
● When folding forwards and backwards, keep all hands, fingers, feet and other body parts away from the seat hinges and seat
locking mechanism.
● Floor mats or other objects could get caught in the hinges on the rear seat or the backrest. This could cause the rear seat or the
rear seat backrest to fail to lock securely when they are returned to the upright position.
● Ensure that each rear seat backrest engages securely in the upright position, otherwise the seat belts for the rear seats will not
work properly.
● A red marking on the release lever → Fig. 1 2 shows that the rear seat backrest has not engaged securely. The red marking must
not be visible when the backrest is properly locked in place.
● If the rear seat backrest or rear seat is folded forwards or is not engaged securely into place, passengers must not use these seats.
NOTICE
Items in the floor area in front of and behind the rear seats could be damaged when folding the rear seats forwards and backwards.
● Items in the seat recess behind the third row of seats could be damaged when folding the rear seats in the third row forwards or
backwards. Remove the items before folding the seats forwards and backwards.
● Fastening elements and net cover fittings that are attached to the guide rail system could be damaged when folding the third row
of seats forwards or backwards and could cause damage to the rear seats. Remove the fastening elements and net cover holders
from the rail system before folding seats forwards or backwards.
