Practical equipment -> Wireless charging function for Your Volkswagen Transporter Van Seventh Generation (2021-2025)

Objects stored in the vehicle that are made from transparent materials, such as transparent suction cups on the
windows, can concentrate the sun's rays and thus cause damage to the vehicle.
NOTICE
Objects protruding from the stowage areas in the sliding doors can damage the vehicle when the sliding doors are
opened.
When opening the sliding doors, make sure that no objects protrude from the stowage areas in the sliding doors.
Do not place any sharp-edged objects, e.g. tools, in the stowage areas in the sliding doors.
Wireless charging function
Fig. 1 Wireless charging function: shelf with lining mat for
the wireless charging function.
The wireless charging function comes with some equipment levels and is not available in all countries.
The wireless charging function enables wireless energy transmission by electromagnetic induction over a short
distance.
The maximum charging power is 5 watts.
The wireless charging pad is located in the centre console.
The Qi standard enables wireless charging of suitable Qi-enabled mobile telephones.
Place only one Qi-enabled mobile device without a protective cover with maximum dimensions(width x length) of
80 mm x 160 mm (3.15 in x 6.299 in) flat on the wireless charging pad.
Qi-capable mobile telephones with larger dimensions cannot be charged wirelessly.
Consult the operating manual for the mobile telephone to find out if it is compatible with the Qi standard. The
manufacturer of the mobile telephone can provide more information on compatibility.
Charging a mobile telephone wirelessly
A symbol on the mat indicates the centre position of the wireless charging pad→ Fig. 1.
To charge a suitable, Qi-capable mobile telephone, proceed as follows:
1. Before charging, remove any foreign objects with metallic components such as coins from the stowage
compartment and observe the operating instructions for the mobile telephone.
2. Remove any protective covers and place the Qi-enabled mobile telephone flat on the wireless charging pad
with the display facing upwards.
3. Carefully push the Qi-enabled mobile telephone backwards into the centre console as far as it will go→ Fig. 1.
After a few seconds, a message appears on the instrument cluster and the charging process starts.
The factory-fitted Infotainment system will provide information about the start of the charging operation and,
where applicable, about any foreign objects with metallic components that are detected in the stowage
compartment. Remove foreign objects immediately!

If the mobile telephone has not been positioned correctly in the stowage area or is too large, it cannot be detected or
cannot be detected correctly. The Infotainment system may report that there is a foreign object on the shelf. The
fault can be rectified if a suitable mobile telephone is used and its position is corrected. Remove the mobile
telephone then place it correctly on the wireless charging pad.
WARNING
Do not place any metal objects or items with metallic components on the wireless charging pad. Metallic objects
may become very hot. This may cause burn injuries to the skin and cause a fire.
NOTICE
Do not place any ID cards, credit cards etc. with magnetic strips or with a chip on the wireless charging pad. The
data stored on the magnetic strip or chip may become unusable.
Stowage areas under the seats

All stowage areas are accessible with the seat folded up.
The stowage areas under the outer seats are accessible as drawers from the back of the seats.
