Switching between two mobile devices
Requirement: phone 1 and phone 2 must be con-
nected to the MMI.

Switch telephones: the device name of the avail-
able mobile device is displayed. You can switch
the phone by pressing the button.
The following options may be possible, depend-
ing on your mobile device:
The directory for the selected phone will be dis-
played.
– Decline with text message
– Edit voicemail number
Hide grayed-out contacts
Switching between two mobile devices
When this function is turned on, contacts that
have no phone numbers stored for them will be
hidden.
Requirement: phone 1 and phone 2 must be con-
nected to the MMI.
Switch telephones: the device name of the avail-
able mobile device is displayed. You can switch
the phone by pressing the button.
Sort order
You can sort the contacts by Last name or First
name.
Conference
Download contacts
Depending on your mobile phone service provid-
er, you can use the following functions when the
conference function is turned on:
Requirement: a mobile device must be connected
to the MMI.
– Accept another call while on a call. The first
phone call is put on hold.
To update the contacts in the MMI, you can man-
ually download your mobile device contacts. De-
pending on the mobile device, you may need to
disconnect and reconnect the Bluetooth connec-
tion to update the contacts.
– Put an existing phone call on hold and start an-
other call.
– Merge two phone calls into one conference call.
Ringtone and volume settings
Importing and exporting contacts
– Ringtone and message volume: you can adjust
the volume using the slider.
Requirement: a USB storage device is connected
to a USB port with charging function ðpage 217.
– Ringtone: select a ringtone from the list.
– Microphone input level: you can adjust the in-
put level of the microphone using the slider.
Contacts in vCard format (.vcf) can be imported
or exported from the MMI.
– Importing contacts from a storage device: Re-
quirement: the USB storage device must con-
tain contacts in the vCard format. They must
not be located in sub-folders. Select: > Search
for import data > USB device 1/USB device 2 >
desired contacts or Select all > Start import.
– Exporting contacts to a storage medium: Re-
quirement: you must have a contact imported.
Select: Export contacts > Find exporting
Data module serial number (IMEI)
Applies to: vehicles with data module
The serial number (IMEI) will be displayed.
