Introduction
You can connect your mobile phone via the mo-
bile phone interface and use it conveniently via
the MMI. You can connect up to two mobile
phones (e.g. your business phone and personal
phone). You can then be reached inside the vehi-
cle on both mobile phones.
CAUTION
Functions depend on the country, the vehicle
equipment, the mobile phone used and its oper-
ating system and are not available on all displays.
Please observe the information on Audi con-
nect, particularly with regard to connection
costs ð in Information on Audi connect on
page 197.
WARNING
– According to health organisations, mobile
phones may interfere with the function of
pacemakers. A minimum distance of 20 cm
between the mobile phone aerial and the
pacemaker should therefore be maintained.

Select: > Telephone.
– Do not carry a mobile phone in your breast
pocket directly over the pacemaker when
the phone is switched on.

It is therefore not possible to guarantee a
connection under all circumstances. Do not
rely solely on your mobile phone when vital
communication is required (e.g. in a medical
emergency).
Connecting a mobile

– Always follow the directions of the emer-
gency operators when making an emergency
call and do not end the call before you are
requested to do so.

Make sure that the phone function of the mo-
bile phone is set to be used after connecting.
If you granted access to your contacts during the
connection procedure, these will be shown auto-
matically on the MMI after connecting successful-
ly.
– The Audi assistant must not be used in cases
of emergency, since the voice may change in
stressful situations. This could result in a
failed or delayed telephone connection. Al-
ways dial emergency numbers manually!
– There is a risk of explosion at filling stations
and at fuel and chemical storage and trans-
port facilities. Remember that these areas
may not always be adequately marked. Such
areas also include places where fumes (e.g.
propane or fuel vapours coming out of
vehicles or buildings), chemicals or large
quantities of dust particles (e.g. from flour,

If a connected mobile phone has a voice control
feature, you can control your mobile phone using
the external voice control system.
