Introduction  
You can connect your mobile phone via the mo-  
bile phone interface and use it conveniently via  
the MMI. You can connect up to two mobile  
phones (e.g. your business phone and personal  
phone). You can then be reached inside the vehi-  
cle on both mobile phones.  
CAUTION  
Functions depend on the country, the vehicle  
equipment, the mobile phone used and its oper-  
ating system and are not available on all displays.  
Please observe the information on Audi con-  
nect, particularly with regard to connection  
costs ð in Information on Audi connect on  
page 197.  
WARNING  
According to health organisations, mobile  
phones may interfere with the function of  
pacemakers. A minimum distance of 20 cm  
between the mobile phone aerial and the  
pacemaker should therefore be maintained.

Select: > Telephone.  
Do not carry a mobile phone in your breast  
pocket directly over the pacemaker when  
the phone is switched on.

It is therefore not possible to guarantee a

rely solely on your mobile phone when vital  
communication is required (e.g. in a medical

Always follow the directions of the emer-  
gency operators when making an emergency  
call and do not end the call before you are  
requested to do so.  
Make sure that the phone function of the mo-  
bile phone is set to be used after connecting.  
If you granted access to your contacts during the  
connection procedure, these will be shown auto-  
matically on the MMI after connecting successful-  
ly.  
The Audi assistant must not be used in cases  
of emergency, since the voice may change in  
stressful situations. This could result in a  
failed or delayed telephone connection. Al-  
ways dial emergency numbers manually!  
There is a risk of explosion at filling stations  
and at fuel and chemical storage and trans-  
port facilities. Remember that these areas  
may not always be adequately marked. Such  
areas also include places where fumes (e.g.  
propane or fuel vapours coming out of  
vehicles or buildings), chemicals or large  
quantities of dust particles (e.g. from flour,

Depending on the country, the vehicle equip-  
ment, the mobile phone used and its operating  
system, the following symbols may be available  
on the MMI:  
If two mobile phones are connected to the MMI,  
you can switch between these mobile phones to  
access the relevant contacts, start calls and se-  
lect settings.  
Symbol Description  
Select the emergency number from  
the list. The call will be placed imme-  
diately.  
Select the following: > Telephone > Connec-  
ted telephone 1 or Connected telephone 2.  
Press on the desired device name.  
Dial a number or enter the name of a  
stored contact.

ing a phone call.  
To enter a number manually, select: > Tele-  
phone > .  
Edit a phone number before dialling  
it.  
To start a call via the call list/favourites list, se-  
lect: > Telephone > Call list/Favourites > a  
contact.  
To start a call via the contacts list, select: >  
Telephone > Contacts > a contact > the desired  
phone number.  
Show the call history.  
Send a message template as a text  
message.

You can switch certain functions on/off or adjust  
the settings in the Telephone settings menu. The  
settings depend on the country and the equip-  
ment fitted in your vehicle.  
To select an entry from the call list, press the
