Remove the cover or cigarette lighter.  
If metal objects fall into the socket, they  
can cause a short circuit. There is a risk of  
property damage. Replace the cigarette lighter  
or socket cover again after using the socket.◀  
In the cargo area  
Front center console  
Fold open the cover.  
Slide the cover forward.  
USB interface/AUX-IN port  
Remove the cover or cigarette lighter.  
Concept  
Mobile devices with USB port can be con‐  
nected to the USB interface.  
Center armrest  
A mobile audio device, for instance a MP3  
player, can be connected using the AUX-IN  
port.  
General information  
The following devices can be connected:  
Mobile phones supported by the USB in‐  
terface.  
Remove the cover.  
Audio devices with USB port, e.g., MP3  
player.  
USB storage devices.

FAT32 and exFAT are the recommended  
formats.

Due to the many different compression  
techniques, proper playback of the media  
stored on the USB storage device cannot  
be guaranteed in all cases.

A connected USB storage device will be

higher temperatures, the USB storage de‐  
vice may cause a reduction in the charging

To ensure proper transmission of the  
stored data, do not charge a USB storage

Depending on how the USB storage device  
is being used, settings may be required on  
the USB storage device, refer to the own‐  
er's manual of the device.  
Non-compatible USB media:  
USB hard drives.  
USB hubs.  
USB memory card readers with multiple in‐  
serts.  
The USB interface and the AUX-IN port are lo‐  
cated in the center armrest.  
HFS-formatted USB media.  
MTP devices.  
Devices such as fans or lamps.  
Connecting an external device  
Observe the following when connecting:  
Do not use force when plugging the con‐  
nector into the USB interface.  
Cargo area  
Use a flexible adapter cable.  
Cargo cover  
Protect the USB storage device against  
mechanical damage.

Due to the large number of USB media  
available on the market, it cannot be guar‐  
anteed that every device is operable on the  
vehicle.
