Dashboard instruments -> Warning and indicator lamps for Your Citroen C3 Aircross SUV Second Generation (2024-2026)

Dashboard instruments  
status of a system (operation or deactivation  
indicator lamps). Certain lamps light up in two  
ways (fixed or flashing) and/or in several colours.  
Stop as soon as it is safe to do so and switch off  
the ignition.

Associated warnings  
The illumination of a lamp may be accompanied  
by an audible signal and/or a message displayed  
in a screen.  
Relating the type of alert to the operating  
status of the vehicle allows you to determine  
whether the situation is normal or whether a  
fault has occurred: refer to the description of  
each lamp for further information.  
List of warning and indicator  
lamps

Certain red or orange warning lamps come on  
for a few seconds when the ignition is switched  
on. These warning lamps should go off as soon  
as the engine is started.

3. Display area:  
– Outside temperature (°C or °F).  
– Total distance recorder (miles or km).  
– Trip A or B with time and distance  
travelled (miles or km).  
– Remaining range (miles or km).  
– Current consumption (mpg or l/100km).  
– Power indicator (Hybrid or Electric).  
– Energy flow (Hybrid).  
Traction battery overheating (Hybrid or  
Electric)  
Fixed, combined with the STOP  
warning lamp, accompanied by  
the display of a message and an audible signal.  
The traction battery's temperature is too high.  
Carry out (1).  
Evacuate the vehicle as quickly as possible  
and move to a safe distance.  
Carry out (2).  
Persistent warning lamp  
If a red or orange warning lamp comes on, there  
may be fault which needs further investigation.  
– Warning and status messages.  
If a lamp remains lit  
The references (1), (2) and (3) in the warning  
and indicator lamp description indicate whether  
you should contact a qualified professional  
in addition to the immediate recommended  
actions.  
Warning and indicator  
lamps  
Displayed as symbols, the warning and indicator  
lamps inform the driver of the occurrence of a  
malfunction (warning lamps) or of the operating  
(1): You must stop the vehicle.

Traction battery malfunction (Hybrid or  
Electric)  
Fixed, combined with the Service  
warning lamp, accompanied by  
the display of a message.  
The traction battery has a fault.  
Carry out (2).  
Fixed when the ignition is switched on,  
accompanied by a message.  
It is not possible to start the vehicle while the  
charging cable is connected to the vehicle’s  
connector.  
Disconnect the charging cable and close the  
flap.  
Braking  
Fixed.  
The brake fluid level in the braking  
circuit has dropped significantly.  
Carry out (1), then top up with fluid  
that complies with the manufacturer's  
recommendations. If the problem persists, carry  
out (2).  
Maximum coolant temperature  
Fixed.  
The temperature of the cooling system  
is too high.  
Carry out (1), then wait until the engine has  
cooled down before topping up the level, if  
necessary. If the problem persists, carry out (2).  
12 V battery charge  
Fixed.  
Fixed.  
The electronic brake force  
distribution (EBFD) system is faulty.  
Carry out (1) and then (2).  
The battery charging circuit is faulty  
(e.g. dirty terminals, loose or severed alternator  
belt).  
Carry out (1).  
If the electric parking brake stops working,  
immobilise the vehicle:  
►ꢀ With the manual gearbox, engage a gear.  
►ꢀ With the automatic gearbox or drive  
selector, fit the chock against one of the  
wheels.  
Clean and tighten the terminals. If the warning  
lamp does not go off when the engine is  
started, carry out (2).  
Electric parking brake (Hybrid or Electric)  
Fixed.  
The electric parking brake is applied.  
Flashing.  
Application/release is faulty.  
Carry out (1): park on flat ground (on a level  
surface).  
With a manual gearbox, engage a gear.  
With an automatic gearbox or drive selector,  
select mode P.  
Engine oil pressure (Petrol or Hybrid)  
Fixed.  
There is a fault with the engine  
lubrication system.  
Carry out (1) and then (2).  
System malfunction (Hybrid or Electric)  
Fixed.  
A fault has been detected in the system  
(electric motor or traction battery).

The automatic functions must be used at all  
times and are automatically reactivated in the  
event of a fault with the control.  
Carry out (2).  
►ꢀ Use the control to apply the electric parking  
brake.  
►ꢀ Take your foot fully off the brake pedal.  
►ꢀ Hold the control pressed in the release  
direction for between 10 and 15 seconds.  
►ꢀ Release the control.  
►ꢀ Depress and hold the brake pedal.  
►ꢀ Pull the control in the application direction  
for 2 seconds.

Service  
Temporarily on, accompanied by the  
display of a message.  
Fixed, accompanied by the  
One or more minor faults, for which there is/  
are no specific warning lamp(s), have been  
detected.  
Identify the cause of the fault using the  
message displayed on the instrument panel.  
You may be able to deal with some faults  
yourself, such as changing the battery in the  
remote control.  
For other faults, such as with the tyre under-  
inflation detection system, carry out (3).  
Fixed, accompanied by the display of a  
message.  
One or more major faults, for which there is/  
are no specific warning lamp(s), have been  
detected.  
message "Parking brake  
fault".  
The electric parking brake is faulty: manual and  
automatic functions may not be working.  
When stationary, to immobilise the vehicle:  
►ꢀ Pull the electric parking brake control and  
hold it for approximately 7 to 15 seconds, until  
the indicator lamp lights up on the instrument  
panel.  
If this procedure does not work, secure the  
vehicle:  
►ꢀ Park on a level surface.  
►ꢀ With a manual gearbox, engage a gear.  
►ꢀ With an automatic gearbox or drive selector,  
select mode P, then place the supplied chock  
against one of the wheels.  
►ꢀ Release the control and the brake pedal.  
Power steering  
Fixed.  
A minor fault in the power steering has  
been detected.  
Drive carefully at moderate speed, then carry  
out (3).  
Engine self-diagnostics system (Petrol or  
Hybrid)  
Fixed.  
A major engine fault has been  
detected.  
Carry out (1) and then (2).  
Fixed.  
A minor engine fault has been  
detected.  
Carry out (3).  
Identify the cause of the fault using the

approximately 5 litres of fuel in the tank  
(reserve).  
Until the fuel level is topped up, this alert will  
be repeated every time the ignition is switched  
on, with increasing frequency as the fuel level  
decreases and approaches zero.  
Refuel without delay to avoid running out of  
fuel.  
Collision Risk Alert/Active Safety Brake  
Flashing.  
The system activates and brakes the  
vehicle momentarily to reduce the speed of  
collision with the vehicle in front.

instrument panel menu, using the steering-
