CHECKS AND ADJUSTMENTS - 4 HP 18 AUTOMATIC GEARBOX

Engines : RFV - RGX - P8C

Checks - Adjustments : Kick down cable

Preliminary conditions :

- Engine hot.

- Idling speed correct.

- Cable routing correct

Accelerator cable adjustment :

- Remove the kick down cable from the drum.

- Pull out the sleeve stop (1) and fit the spring clip (2) so as to obtain a small

clearance at «a».

Kick down cable adjustment :

- Pull out the cable until the start of the kick down command, the lug (3) should be

at: X = 39 mm from the end of the sleeve.

- The lug (3) should then be positioned and crimped on the cable.

- Refit the kick down cable on the drum.

- Adjust the clearance (B) from 0.5 mm to 1 mm max. by tightening the nuts (4).
