CAUTION  
CAUTION  
• To prevent possible damage to  
the wipers or windshield, do not  
operate the wipers when the  
windshield is dry.  
Do not use the interior lights for  
extended periods when the engine  
is not running.  
It may cause battery discharge.  
• To prevent damage to the wiper  
blades, do not use gasoline,  
kerosene, paint thinner, or other  
solvents on or near them.  
WARNING

Do not use the interior lights when  
driving in the dark. Accidents could  
happen because the view may be  
obscured by interior lights.  
Type D  
• To prevent damage to the wiper  
arms and other components, do  
not attempt to move the wipers  
manually.  
• To prevent possible damage to the  
wipers and washer system, use  
anti-freezing washer fluids in the  
winter season or cold weather.  
Automatic turn off function  
(if equipped)  
The interior lights automatically turn off  
approximately 20 minutes after the igni-  
tion switch is turned off.

Rear window wiper and washer  
switch (if equipped)  
The rear window wiper and washer  
switch is located at the end of the wiper  
and washer switch lever. Turn the switch  
to desired position to operate the rear  
wiper and washer.  
- Spraying washer fluid and wiping  
ON (  
) - Normal wiper operation  
OFF (O) - Wiper is not in operation

The map lamp goes out gradu-  
ally after approximately 30 sec-  
onds if the door is closed.  
However, if the ignition switch is  
ON or all doors are locked, the  
map lamp will turn off immedi-  
ately. If a door is opened with  
the ignition switch in the ACC or  
LOCK position, the map lamp  
stays on for about 20 minutes.  
However, if a door is opened  
with the ignition switch in the  
ON position, the map lamp  
stays on continuously.

Map lamp (if equipped)  
Room lamp (if equipped)  
: The lights turn off even if a  
door is opened.

(OFF)  
Push the lens to turn the map lamp on or  
off. This light produces a spot beam for  
convenient use as a map lamp at night or  
as a personal lamp for the driver and the  
front passenger.  
• DOOR : In the DOOR position, the room  
lamp come on when any door is  
opened regardless of the ignition  
switch position. When doors are  
unlocked by the transmitter (or  
smart key), the room lamp come  
on for approximately 30 seconds  
as long as any door is not open.  
When the lamp is turned ON  
by pressing the lens (1), the  
lamp does not turn off even  
if the switch (2) is in the OFF  
position.  
: In the DOOR position, the  
map lamp come on when  
any door is opened regard-  
less of the ignition switch  
position. When doors are  
unlocked by the transmitter  
(or smart key), the map lamp  
and come on for approxi-  
mately 30 seconds as long  
as any door is not open.  
: The map lamp and the room  
lamp stay on at all times.

tion, the room lamp stays on con-  
tinuously.

is opened.  
• ON : The room lamp stay on at all  
times.

Glove box lamp  
Luggage room lamp (if equipped)  
The glove box lamp comes on when the  
glove box is opened.  
The luggage room lamp comes on when  
the tailgate is opened.  
CAUTION  
CAUTION  
The luggage room lamp stays on as  
long as the tailgate is opened. To  
prevent unnecessary drain of cur-  
rent from the battery, close the tail-  
gate securely.  
To prevent unnecessary drain of  
current from the battery, close the  
glove box securely.
