symbol appears in the media display and the vehi-
cle can be braked automatically.
The maneuvering assistant must be active for
the function of Drive Away Assist
(/ page 203) and Cross Traꢀc Alert
(/ page 203).
If the radar sensors are obstructed by vehicles or
other objects, detection is not possible.
Vehicle towing instrucctions
The vehicle is not suitable for the use of tow bar
systems that are used for ꢂat towing or dinghy
towing, for example. Attaching and using tow bar
systems can result in damage to the vehicle.
When you are towing a vehicle with tow bar sys-
tems, safe driving characteristics cannot be guar-
anteed for the towing vehicle or the towed vehicle.
The vehicle-trailer combination may swerve from
side to side.
Cross Traꢀc Alert is active under the following
conditions:

If the vehicle is backing up at a walking pace.

Maneuvering assistance is activated
