Opening and closing  
CONTROLS  
To do this, slide the integrated key into  
the opening to the stop from below and  
remove the cover cap.  
Integrated key  
General information  
The driver's door can be locked and un-  
locked without the vehicle key using the  
integrated key.  
Safety information  
NOTICE  
The door lock is permanently joined with  
the door. The door handle can be moved.  
When pulling the door handle with the  
integrated key inserted, paint or the  
integrated key can be damaged. There is  
a risk of damage to property. Remove the  
integrated key before pulling the external  
door handle.  
2. Unlock or lock the door lock using the  
integrated key.  
The other doors must be unlocked or locked  
from the inside.  
Alarm system  
The alarm system is not switched on if the  
vehicle is locked with the integrated key.  
Removing  
The alarm system is triggered when the  
door is opened, if the vehicle has been un-  
locked via the door lock.  
Buttons for the central locking  
system  
General information  
In the event of a severe accident, the vehi-  
cle is automatically unlocked. The hazard  
warning system and interior lights come on.  
Press the button, arrow 1, and pull out the  
integrated key, arrow 2.

Comfort Access  
Principle  
The vehicle can be accessed without operat-  
ing the vehicle key.  
Carrying the vehicle key with you, e.g., in  
your pants pocket, is sufficient.  
The vehicle automatically detects the vehi-  
cle key when it is in close proximity or in  
the interior.  
Buttons for the central locking system.  
General information  
Comfort Access supports the following  
functions:  
Locking  
Press the button with the front  
doors closed.  
Unlocking and locking the vehicle.  
Convenient closing.  
The fuel filler flap remains unlocked.  
Open the tailgate.  
The vehicle is not secured against theft  
when locking.  
Functional requirements  
To lock the vehicle, the vehicle key must  
be outside of the vehicle near the doors.  
Unlocking  
Press the button.  
The next unlocking and locking cycle  
is not possible until after approx. 2 sec-  
onds.  
Opening  
Unlocking  
Press button to unlock the  
doors together, and then pull the door  
handle above the armrest.  
Front doors: pull the door handle on the  
door to open the door. The other doors  
remain locked.  
Back doors: pull twice on the door han-  
dle on the door to be opened; the first  
time unlocks the door, the second time  
opens it. The other doors remain locked.  
Press the button on the door handle of the  
driver's or front passenger door.  
Depending on the settings, refer to  
page 72, only the driver's door and the  
fuel filler flap may be unlocked. Unlike  
when unlocking using the vehicle key,

pressing the button on the door handle  
again does not unlock the other vehicle ac-  
cess points. Rather, the vehicle is locked  
again.  
If the vehicle was locked automatically af-  
ter driving off or using the central locking  
system button from the inside, note the  
following: If a door on a locked vehicle  
is opened from the inside using the door  
opener, pressing the button on the door  
handle will first lock the vehicle again. To  
unlock, press the button on the door handle  
again.  
Press and hold down the button on the ex-  
ternal door handle of the driver's or front  
passenger door.  
Locking  
In addition to locking, the windows and  
glass sunroof will be closed.  
To open the tailgate  
General information  
If the tailgate is opened via Comfort Access,  
locked doors are not unlocked.  
To avoid locking the vehicle key in the vehi-  
cle, do not place the vehicle key in the cargo  
area.  
Press the button on the door handle of the  
driver's or front passenger door.

Body parts can be jammed when operating  
the tailgate. There is a risk of injury. Make  
sure that the travel path of the tailgate is  
clear during opening and closing.

sure that the area of movement of the  
doors is clear during convenient closing.  
Warning  
The tailgate swings back and up when it  
opens. There is a risk of injury or risk of  
damage to property. Make sure that the  
travel path of the tailgate is clear during  
opening and closing.
