the preset time has passed, the defogger will  
turn off automatically. To turn off the defogger  
manually, push the defogger switch again, and  
the indicator light turns off.

through unintended operation of the  
vehicle and or its systems, including  
entrapment in windows or inadvertent  
door lock activation, do not leave chil-  
dren, people who require the assistance  
of others or pets unattended in your  
vehicle. Additionally, the temperature in-  
side a closed vehicle on a warm day can  
quickly become high enough to cause a  
significant risk of injury or death to  
people and pets.  
WARNING:  
The driver is always responsible for all the  
power window operation including passen-  
ger’s operation. Be sure to observe the  
following warnings for safety.

Never allow anyone to extend any portion  
of their body or objects out of the open-  
ing while the vehicle is in motion. Other-  
wise they may be seriously damaged by  
coming into contact with objects outside  
the vehicle or when abruptly braking.  
Make sure that all passengers have their  
hands, etc. inside the vehicle before  
operating the power windows. Do not  
intentionally activate the auto-reverse  
function. If their hands or faces are  
caught in the windows, it could cause  
serious injury.  
Never allow children to operate the  
power window. Improper operation by  
children could lead to an accident. De-  
press the window lock button since  
children or other persons could be  
caught in the power window and this  
may cause serious damage.  
When operating the power windows, let  
children know it and make sure that their  
hands, arms, etc. are not placed near the  
power windows. Otherwise they may be  
caught in the power windows.

The heated steering wheel system is designed  
to operate only when the surface temperature  
of the steering wheel is below 20°C (68°F).  
The power windows operate when the ignition  
switch is in the “ON” position.

Passenger’s window switch  
The auto-reverse function enables a window to  
automatically reverse when something is  
caught in the window as it is closing by the  
automatic function. When the control unit  
detects an obstacle, the window will be low-  
ered immediately.  
Depending on the environment or driving  
conditions, the auto-reverse function may  
activate if an impact or load similar to some-  
thing being caught in the window occurs.  
SIC4464  
The automatic function is available for the  
switch that has an mark on its surface.  
The automatic function enables a window to  
fully open or close without holding the switch  
down or up.  
To fully open the window, push the power  
window switch down to the second detent and  
release the switch. To fully close the window,  
pull the power window switch up to the second  
detent and release the switch. The switch does  
not have to be held during window operation.  
To stop the window open/close operation  
during the automatic function, push down or  
pull up the switch in opposite directions.  
Operating windows with Intelligent Key  
(if equipped)  
SIC4353  
The windows can be opened or closed (if  
equipped) by pushing the “LOCK” or “UNLOCK”  
button on the Intelligent Key. This function will  
not operate while the window timer is acti-  
vated or when the windows need to be  
initialized. For details about the Intelligent Key  
button usage, see “Using remote keyless entry  
system” (P.3-13).  
The passenger’s switch can control its corre-  
sponding window.  
If the passengers’ windows lock button on the  
driver’s side switch is pushed in, the passen-  
ger’s switch cannot be operated.  
Window timer:  
The window timer allows the window switch to  
be operated for approximately 45 seconds  
even if the ignition switch is pushed to the  
“OFF” position. The window timer will be  
canceled when the driver’s or front passenger’s  
door is opened or the preset time has expired.  
Opening:  
To open the windows, push the “UNLOCK”  
button on the Intelligent Key for about  
3
seconds after the door is unlocked.  
To stop opening, release the “UNLOCK”  
button.  
If the window open operation is stopped part-  
way while pushing the “UNLOCK”  
button,  
release and push the button again until the

will open immediately.  
If the sunroof cannot be closed automatically  
when the auto reverse function activates due  
to a malfunction, push and hold the CLOSE

not operate properly after performing the  
procedure above, have your vehicle checked  
by a NISSAN dealer.  
The sunroof operates when the ignition switch  
is in the “ON” position.
