mission (AT) parking function is not engaged. If
the transfer control is not secured in any
driving position while the AT shift lever is in
the “P” (Park) position, the transmission will
disengage and the wheels will not lock.
For 4WD models: If the AT park warning light
illuminates with the shift lever in the “P”
(Park) position, shift the Four-Wheel Drive
(4WD) shift switch to the AUTO, 4H or 4L
position again with the shift lever in the N
(Neutral) position. (See “Four-Wheel Drive
(4WD) (4WD models)” (P.5-16).)

If the MIL blinks while the engine is running, it
may indicate a potential malfunction in the
emission control system. In this case, the
emission control system may not function
properly and may need servicing. Have the
system checked, and if necessary repaired, by a
NISSAN dealer promptly.

warning light (orange; if equipped)” (P.2-20).)
For more details, see “Lane Departure Warning
(LDW) system/Intelligent Lane Intervention sys-
tem” (P.5-25).
For Mexico:
Security indicator light
When the ignition switch is in the “ON” position,
sometimes the MIL may illuminate for 20
seconds and then blink for 10 seconds, without
the engine running. This is due to a function of
checking the engine control system, and it is
not a malfunction. After a few normal drives,
this function will not occur and the MIL stays
illuminated with the ignition switch in the “ON”
position.
The security indicator light blinks when the
ignition switch is in the “ACC”, “OFF” or “LOCK”
position. This function indicates that the secur-
ity system equipped on the vehicle is opera-
tional.
If the security system is malfunctioning, this
light will remain on while the ignition switch is
in the “ON” position. (See “Security system” (P.3-
15) for additional information.)

CAUTION:
.
Continuing vehicle operation without
proper servicing of the engine control
system could lead to poor driveability,
reduced fuel economy, and damage to
the engine control system, which may
affect the vehicle’s warranty coverage.
If the MIL illuminates while the engine is
running, it may indicate that the engine control
system is not functioning properly and may
need servicing. Have the vehicle checked, and if
necessary repaired, by
