General menu  
Controls  
When the RT4 GPS audio/telephone is  
switched on, select the menu which cor-  
responds to the following applications:  
-

-
the satellite navigation system,  
the guidance on the map,  
the traffic information,  
the audio sources (radio, CD, ...),  
the telephone and the phonebooks,  
the configuration of the screen and  
the setting of the vehicle equipment  
parameters,  
the displaying of videos,  
the vehicle diagnostics.  
From the RT4 GPS audio/telephone  
control panel, to select one of the ap-  
plications:  
Displays on the screen  
When the screen is open, it displays the  
following information automatically and  
directly:  
press the "MENU" button to gain  
access to the general menu,  
turn the navigator to move the  
-
-
-
the time,  
the date,  
selection,  
press the navigator to confirm the  
selection,  
or  
press the "ESC" button to abandon  
the operation in progress and return  
to the previous display.  
the outside temperature (if there is  
a risk of ice, you are warned by a  
message).

Warning messages (e.g.: "Fuel level  
low") and vehicle function status mes-  
sages (e.g.: "Automatic lighting active")  
may appear temporarily. These can be  
cleared by pressing the "ESC" button.

applications, refer to the RT4 part of the  
"Audio and Telematics" section.

Adjusting the position of the screen

If you close the screen during  
operation of the audio/telephone,  
it will only re-open automatically  
when an outgoing telephone call is  
made, when a voice command is  
given or when a warning message  
linked with the STOP warning light  
is received.  
Closing the screen  
With the screen open, press control  
A to store it.  
Access to the screen  
The screen is stored automatically  
when the ignition is switched off, after  
approximately three seconds, if the  
audio/telephone is off.  
When the screen is open, you can ad-  
just it precisely in different ways:  
press the corresponding part of  
controlBtomovethescreentowards  
you or towards the windscreen,  
This screen is opened and stored auto-  
matically.  
However, you can also open it, store it  
and adjust it using the various manual  
controls:  
or  
push or pull the screen gently by  
hand.  
Safety autoꢀreverse

opening or storing by means of  
control A,  
angle adjustments by means of  
control B.  
If the screen meets an obstacle as it  
opens or closes, the movement stops  
immediately and is reversed by a  
few millimetres.  
After clearing the obstacle, issue the  
command required again.

It is also fitted with safety auto-reverse  
protection.  
Storing the position of the screen  
The system has four pre-set positions  
in its memory.  
Each time the screen is closed, the  
system stores the last position of the  
screen.  
Each time the screen is re-opened, the  
system returns the screen to the pre-set  
position closest to that stored.  
Opening the screen  
With the screen stored, press control A  
to open it.  
The screen opens automatically when  
the ignition is switched on, when the  
audio/telephone is switched on, when  
an outgoing telephone call is made,  
when a voice command is given and  
when a warning message linked with  
the STOP warning light is received.

If you wish the screen to continue to  
open or close automatically when  
the audio/telephone is switched  
on or off, the screen must not be  
closed when the audio/telephone is  
operating.

Once this menu has been selected, Example: setting the duration of the follow-

Turn the navigator to select the  
"Lighting configuration" menu,  
then press the navigator to confirm.  
"Configuration" menu  
Define the vehicle parameters  
Once the "Define the vehicle parame-  
ters" menu has been selected, you can  
activate or deactivate certain driving  
and comfort equipment:  
Select the line "Duration of follow-  
me-home lighting" then confirm.  
Press the "MENU" button on the  
RT4 GPS audio/telephone to gain  
access to the general menu.  
Turn the navigator to select the  
"Configuration" menu, then press  
the navigator to confirm.

selective unlocking (refer to the "Ac-  
cess" section),  
wiper linked with reverse gear (refer  
to the "Visibility" section),  
follow-me-home and welcome light-  
ing (refer to the "Visibility" section),  
ambient lighting (refer to the "Visibility"  
section),  
daytime lights (refer to the "Visibility"  
section),  
directional headlamps (refer to the  
"Visibility" section).  
Select the duration then press the  
navigator.  
Turn the navigator to set the value  
required (15, 30 or 60 seconds),  
then press the navigator.  
Select the "OK" box, then confirm.

Display configuration  
Selecting the the language  
Once the "Language selection" menu  
has been selected, you gain access to  
the following parameters:  
-
selection of the display language  
(Français, English, Italiano, Portugues,  
Espanol, Deutsch, Nederlands),  
-
selection of the language used for  
the information and voice commands  
(Français, English, Italiano, Portugues,  
Espanol, Deutsch, Nederlands).  
Once the "Display configuration" menu  
has been selected, you gain access to  
the following parameters:  
-

-
selection of the palette of colours  
available for the display,  
setting of the brightness and bril-  
liance of the display,  
setting of the date and time (12 or  
24 hour mode, adjustment of the  
minutes on GPS),  
-
selection of the units (temperature in  
°Celsius or °Fahrenheit; consump-  
tion in l/100 km or mpg or km/l).  
Sounds  
Once the "Sounds" menu has been se-  
lected, you gain access to the following  
parameters:  
-
-
setting of the voice commands,  
setting of the voice synthesiser  
(volume, male or female),  
activation of the auxiliary input AUX.  
For safety reasons, it is imperative  
that configuration of the multifunc-  
tion displays by the driver takes  
place when stationary.

On the "Vehicle diagnostics" menu,  
select one of the following applica-  
tions:  
"Vehicle diagnostics"  
menu  
Warnings log  
This summarises the active warning  
messages, displaying them in succes-  
sion on the multifunction display.  
Press the "MENU" button to gain  
access to the general menu.  
Turn the navigator and press it to  
select the "Vehicle diagnostics"  
menu.  
Status of the functions  
This summarises the active or inactive  
status of the functions present on the  
vehicle.
