PRACTICAL INFORMATION -> Changing a bulb for Your Peugeot Rcz 2 Door First Generation (2009-2015)

FRONT LAMPS  
CHANGING A BULB  
Model with halogen headlamps  
The headlamps are fitted with polycarbonate glass with a  
protective coating:  
F
do not clean them using a dry or abrasive cloth, nor with  
a detergent or solvent product,  
F
F
use a sponge and soapy water or a pH neutral product,  
when using a high pressure washer on persistent marks, do  
not keep the lance directed towards the lamps or their edges  
for too long, so as not to damage their protective coating and  
seals.  
1. direction indicators (PY21W amber).  
2. dipped beam headlamps (H7).  
3. Main beam headlamps (H1).  
4. daytime running lamps / sidelamps (P21/5W)  
or  
Changing a bulb should only be done after the headlamp has been  
switched off for several minutes (risk of serious burns).  
daytime running lamps / sidelamps (LEds).

Do not touch the bulb directly with your fingers, use a lint-free  
cloth.  
It is imperative to use only anti-ultraviolet (UV) type bulbs to avoid  
damaging the headlamp.  
Always replace a failed bulb with a new bulb with the same type  
and specification.

Model with xenon and directional headlamps  
Changing direction indicator bulbs  
1. direction indicators (PY21W SV silver).  
2. directional dipped / main beam headlamps (d1S).  
3. Additional main beam headlamps (H1).  
4. daytime running lamps / sidelamps (P21/5W)  
or

Turn the bulb holder a quarter of a turn and extract it.  
Pull the bulb out and change it.  
To refit, carry out these operations in reverse order.  
Amber or silver coloured bulbs, such as the direction indicators,  
daytime running lamps / sidelamps (LEds).  
must be replaced with bulbs of identical specifications and colour.  
Risk of electrocution  
xenon bulbs (D1S) must be replaced by a PEUGEOT dealer or a  
qualified workshop.  
When refitting, close the protective cover carefully to assure the  
sealing of the headlamp.

Changing dipped beam headlamp bulbs

Remove the protective cover by pulling the tab.  
Disconnect the bulb connector.  
Spread the springs to release the bulb.  
Pull the bulb out and change it.  
To refit, carry out these operations in reverse order.  
Changing main beam headlamp bulbs

Remove the protective cover by pulling on the tab.  
Disconnect the bulb connector.  
Compress the springs to release the bulb.  
Remove the bulb and change it.  
To refit, carry out these operations in reverse order.  
Changing daytime running lamp / sidelamp bulbs

Remove the protective cover by pulling on the tab.  
Disconnect the bulb connector.  
Turn the bulb holder a quarter of a turn and extract it.  
Pull the bulb and change it.  
To refit, carry out these operations in reverse order.

Changing integrated direction indicator side repeaters  
REAR LAMPS  
For the replacement of these bulbs, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a  
qualified workshop.  
Changing the daytime running lamps / sidelamps  
1. Sidelamps (LEds).  
2. direction indicators (LEds).  
3. Brake lamps / sidelamps (P21/5W).  
4. Reversing lamps (P21W).  
5. Foglamp (P21W).  
For the replacement of this type of LED lamp, contact a PEUGEOT  
dealer or a qualified workshop.

Changing brake lamps / sidelamps  
This bulb is changed from outside the boot, having first removed the  
rear lamp:  
F

open the boot lid,  
unclip the access flap of the corresponding side trim, then remove it,  
F
F
disconnect the lamp connector,  
remove the two lamp fixing bolts,  
F
F
F
unclip the lamp taking hold of it at the base, then tilt it,  
turn the bulb holder one quarter of a turn and remove it,  
turn the bulb one quarter of a turn and change it.  
To refit, carry out these operations in reverse order.

Changing reversing lamps and foglamps  
Version with asymmetrical twin exhaust tailpipes  
These two bulbs are changed from outside the rear bumper:

unclip the protective cover from the rear, then tilt it,  
remove it completely to gain access to the two lamp fixing bolts,  
F
F
F
turn these two bolts one quarter of a turn and remove them,  
push the lamp towards the inside to unclip it, then tilt it,  
pull the lamp towards the outside for access to the various bulb-  
holders.

For the reversing lamps: pull the corresponding bulb holder,  
-
-
turn the bulb one quarter of a turn and change it.  
For the foglamp: turn the bulb holder one quarter of a turn and  
remove it,  
-
turn the bulb one quarter of a turn and change it.  
To refit, carry out these operations in reverse order.  
On the left-hand side, take care not to touch the silencer; risk  
of burns, if you change the bulb immediately after switching  
off the ignition.

Version with symmetrical twin exhaust tailpipes  
The bulbs on these two types of lamp are changed by partly removing  
the lamp unit A in the rear bumper:  
F
using a screwdriver, remove the 3 fixing screws B located under the  
vehicle,  
F
F
F
without forcing, lower the rear part of the lamp unit for access to the  
bulb holders C,  
turn the corresponding bulb holder a quarter of a turn then remove  
it towards the front of the vehicle,  
turn the bulb one quarter of a turn and change it.  
To refit, carry out these operations in reverse order.  
Take care not to touch the silencer; risk of burns, if you  
change the bulb immediately after switching off the ignition.

Changing sidelamps and direction indicators  
For the replacement of this type of LED lamp, contact a PEUGEOT  
dealer or a qualified workshop.  
Changing the third brake lamp (LEds)  
For the replacement of this type of LED lamp, contact a PEUGEOT  
dealer or a qualified workshop.  
Changing number plate lamps (W5W)

Insert the end of the vehicle's key in the hole in the transparent  
cover.  
F

Push towards the outside to unclip it.  
Remove the transparent cover.  
Pull the bulb out and change it.  
High pressure washing  
When using this type of washing on stubborn dirt, do not persist  
on the headlamps, the lamps and their surrounds to avoid  
damaging their protective coating and seals.
