PRACTICAL INFORMATION -> Changing a wheel for Your Peugeot Rcz 2 Door First Generation (2009-2015)

CHANGING A WHEEL  
TOOLS REQUIREd*  
Parking the vehicle  
Security socket: for adaptation of the  
Immobilise the vehicle where it does not block traffic: the ground  
must be level, stable and non-slippery ground.

Apply the parking brake, switch off the ignition and engage first  
gear (position P for the automatic gearbox) to lock the wheels.  
Check that the parking brake indicator lamps are on fixed (not  
flashing) in the instrument panel.  
Wheelbrace: for removal of the wheel fixing  
It is imperative that you ensure that the occupants get out of the  
vehicle and wait where they are safe.

If necessary, place a chock under the wheel diagonally opposite  
the wheel to be changed.

Never go underneath a vehicle raised using a jack; use an axle  
stand.  
Do not use:  
Bolt cover removal tool: for removal of the  
bolt finishers (covers) on alloy wheels.

the jack for any purpose other than lifting the vehicle,  
a jack other than the one supplied with the vehicle.  
If the jack supplied with the vehicle is not present, contact a  
PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop to obtain the jack  
defined for the vehicle by the manufacturer.  
* Depending on the country of sale, the vehicle may be equipped with  
the tools needed to change a wheel and a spare wheel (see following  
pages).

REMOVING A WHEEL

Extend the jack until its head comes into contact with the jacking  
point A or B used; the vehicle's contact area A or B must be  
correctly engaged with the central part of the head of the jack.

Remove the cover on each of the bolts using the bolt cover removal  
tool.  
Fit the security socket on the wheelbrace to slacken the security  
bolt.  
Ensure that the jack is stable. If the ground is slippery or loose,  
the jack may slip or drop. - Risk of injury!  
Slacken the other bolts using the wheelbrace only.  
Ensure that the jack is positioned only at one of the jacking  
points A or B under the vehicle, making sure that the vehicle's  
contact area is centred on the head of the jack. Otherwise there is  
a risk of damage to the vehicle and/or of the jack dropping - Risk  
of injury!

Position the foot of the jack on the ground directly below one of  
the two front A or rear B jacking points provided on the underbody,  
whichever is closest to the wheel to be changed.

FITTING A WHEEL

Raise the vehicle until there is sufficient space between the wheel  
and the ground to admit the spare (not punctured) wheel easily.

Put the wheel in place on the hub.  
Screw in the bolts by hand.

Remove the bolts and store them in a clean place.  
Remove the wheel.  
Pre-tighten the security bolt using the wheelbrace fitted with the  
security socket.

Pre-tighten the other bolts using the wheelbrace only.  
F

Lower the vehicle fully.  
Fold the jack and detach it.

TOOLS ANd SPARE WHEEL*  
Depending on the country of sale, the vehicle is equipped with the tools  
needed to change a wheel and may also be equipped with a spare  
wheel.  
The spare wheel is stowed in a protective cover, secured to the boot  
floor with Velcro®.  
The tools are held in a storage box under the boot floor.

Tighten the security bolt using the wheelbrace fitted with the  
security socket.

Tighten the other bolts using the wheelbrace only.  
Refit the covers on each of the bolts.  
Store the tools in the storage box.  
After changing a wheel  
Have the tightening of the bolts and the pressure of the new wheel  
checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop without  
delay.  
Never drive with the rear seat folded when the  
spare wheel - or a punctured wheel - is present  
in the boot.  
Warning marking  
"Do not release the backrest of the rear seats!"

Open the boot lid.  
Lift the boot floor using its strap.  
Access to the spare wheel*  
Fix it in the vertical position beyond the stops located on the boot  
sides.

Open the boot lid.  
Remove the spare wheel by grasping the grip of its protective  
cover.

Remove the temporary puncture repair kit for access to the jack.  
F

Position the wheel vertically so as to read the warning markings.  
Remove the Velcro® located on the tyre tread.  
Detach the straps, located on each sidewall, then slacken them.  
Remove the wheel from its protective cover.  
All of these tools are specific to your vehicle. Do not use them for  
other purposes.  
When refitting the wheel into its cover, place it so that the valve is  
opposite the strap fixings.
