Diesel engines are fitted with an

- ensure that the battery is always  
fully charged,

- Always keep the fuel tank  
relatively full to avoid water  
vapour condensing in it and  
accumulating at the bottom of the  
tank.

After filling the tank if you have run  
completely out of fuel, the engine  
may be started normally on  
condition that the battery is fully  
charged: see the information on the  
fuel tank in Section 1 to find out  
more about the special features of  
diesel  
versions  
fitted  
with  
common-rail  
injection.

However, if after a few seconds and  
several attempts the engine fails to  
start, contact a RENAULT Dealer.  
Do not park the vehicle or run  
the engine in locations where  
combustible substances or  
materials such as grass  
or leaves can come into contact  
with a hot exhaust system.
