To refit the emergency spare  
wheel  
Proceed in reverse order.  
In the event of a puncture, there is  
an emergency spare wheel or tyre  
pressure kit available (depending  
on the vehicle).  
Emergency spare wheel B  
It is located under the vehicle.  
In the luggage compartment, lift  
cover 1 and remove blanking  
cover 2.  
Stand the wheel up with the valve  
towards you.  
Pass the cable through the rim and  
Using wheelbrace A, loosen the  
retaining cable and the wheel is  
lowered to the ground.  
reposition lock 3.  
Position wheel valve 4 towards the  
ground.  
From outside the vehicle, stand  
the wheel up, press lock 3 and  
rotate it a quarter of a turn.  
From the boot, tighten the bolt as  
firmly as possible so that the wheel  
retaining cable is wound back.  
Remove the cable from the rim to  
release it.

Advice  
Using the emergency spare  
wheel  
Check the pressure of the  
emergency spare wheel regularly.  
The tyre pressure monitor function  
does not monitor the emergency  
spare wheel (the wheel replaced by  
the emergency spare wheel  
disappears from the instrument  
panel and/or the information  
display).  
Note: the alloy wheel bolts may be  
used to secure the steel emergency  
spare wheel.  
Refer to the information on the tyre  
pressure monitor in Section 2.  
Certain versions are fitted  
with an emergency spare  
wheel which has a limited  
use tyre. This tyre has a  
label showing the restrictions  
applicable to its use: max. speed  
50 mph (80 km/h).  
Only use the emergency wheel for a  
short period, then the wheel must  
be changed. Do not exceed 50 mph  
(80 km/h) and do not drive with  
more than one temporary use tyre  
fitted to the vehicle.  
If the spare wheel has  
been stored for several  
years, have it checked by  
your Dealer to ensure  
that it is still safe to use.  
The punctured wheel is  
wider than the emer-  
gency spare wheel, so  
the height of the vehicle  
ground clearance is reduced.  
For your safety, observe these  
conditions of use.
