Head restraints -> Removing and fitting head restraints of second and third seat row for Your Volkswagen Caddy SUV Fifth Generation (2020-2025)

Always use a blunt object to remove the head restraint in vehicles with a stowage area in the backrest.  
Ask a qualified workshop to remove and install the head restraints in the first row of seats. Volkswagen  
Commercial Vehicles recommends using a Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles dealership for this purpose.

The head restraints are specifically designed for the respective row of seats. They must not be installed in another  
row of seats.

Removing the head restraint  
If necessary, fold the backrest forward slightly (→ Second row of seats), (→ Third seat row).  
Push the head restraint all the way up.

Pull the head restraint out fully while pressing the button→ Fig. 1  
or → Fig. 2

Fold the rear seat backrest back if necessary and allow it to engage securely (→ Second row of seats), (→ Third  
seat row).  
Fitting the head restraint  
Position the head restraint correctly over the head restraint guides and then insert into the guides of the  
corresponding seat backrest.  
Slide the head restraint all the way down until the guide pins click into place.  
Adjust the head restraint so a correct sitting position can be assumed and allow it to engage.  
Centre armrest

You can adjust the longitudinal position and the height of the centre armrest.  
Adjusting the centre armrest  
To lift, pull the centre armrest gradually upwards in the direction of the arrow→ Fig. 1.  
To lower, pull the centre armrest all the way up. Then lower the centre armrest.  
To adjust in longitudinal direction, slide the centre armrest forwards or backwards→ Fig. 1.  
WARNING  
Transporting a person or a child on the centre armrest can lead to accidents and severe or fatal injury.  
Never transport an adult or child on the centre armrest.  
WARNING  
When fully open or not completely closed, the front centre armrest can restrict the freedom of movement of the  
driver's arms and therefore cause accidents and serious injuries.  
Always keep the stowage compartments in the centre armrest closed while the vehicle is in motion.  
Never transport an adult or child on the centre armrest. An incorrect seating position can cause serious injury.
