7 Infotainment -> Telephone for Your Volkswagen T Cross SUV First Generation (2018-2025)

— Connect the mobile device to the Infotainment  
using a USB cable.  
List of telephone contacts  
The list of telephone contacts is imported from the  
connected telephone.  
— Tap the icon of the supported connection.  
— To display the contact list in the phone menu, tap  
on Contacts

— To Search within the list and enter the search  
details.

— To connect to a contact, tap on the desired con-  
tact.

If a contact has multiple telephone numbers, select  
the telephone number from the displayed list.

The conference call is a joint telephone conversation  
with at least three participants.

During an ongoing conference call, the following  
functions can be selected depending on the context:  
The phone's Bluetooth® is switched on.  
Hold a call - leave the conference temporarily  
(the conference continues in your absence)  
Visibility of the Infotainment is switched on.

Import telephone contacts  
Android Auto  
After connecting the phone to the Infotainment, the  
import of the phone contacts into the Infotainment  
memory starts.  
Infotainment can import up to 1000 telephone con-  
tacts together with contact pictures. Each contact  
can include max. 5 telephone numbers.  
Depending on the type of telephone, import confir-  
mation may be required.  
Sort contacts in the phone book  
Phone User profile Sort By Name Tap and select the  
sorting type.  
Overview of running applications, phone calls, in-  
coming text messages, and more.  
Turn on voice control (Google Assistant)  
Ringtone  
Some phones do not allow the use of the telephone  
ringtone; instead, the Infotainment ringtone is used.  
Apple CarPlay  
— To set the Infotainment ringtone, tap on  
Phone  
User profile Ringtone and select the ringtone.  
SmartLink  
Functionality  
SmartLink offers the ability to display and operate  
certified applications from a connected mobile de-  
vice in the Infotainment screen.

Certification may be conditional upon the use of the  
latest update to the particular SmartLink application.

— Hold: Turn on Siri voice control  
Applications include, for example, apps for route  
guidance, telephoning, listening to music, etc.  
The mobile device is connected via a USB cable.
