The exhaust emission standard, fuel consumption
data and other information about your vehicle are
listed in the technical vehicle documentation.
Engine number
The engine number is embossed on the engine
block.
The information listed was determined in accord-
ance with rules and under conditions that are stipu-
lated by legal or technical regulations.
Maximum permissible weights
These and other details about your vehicle can be
obtained from a Volkswagen partner.
The maximum permissible weights are listed on the
nameplate.
The information in the technical vehicle documenta-
tion takes precedence over the information given in
the operating instructions. These specifications and
values apply to your vehicle in its condition and con-
figuration at the time of delivery from the manufac-
turer. Retrofitting an accessory can have a negative
impact on this information and values, in particular
the values regarding fuel consumption and carbon
dioxide (CO2), which are specified in the vehicle doc-
umentation.
The type plate is located at the bottom of the right
middle body pillar of the vehicle.
The performance values listed were determined
without performance-reducing equipment, e.g. air
conditioning system.

lowing locations:

It is possible to calculate the approximate maximum
payload from the difference between the permissi-
ble total weight and the operating weight.

— On a plate under the windscreen in the lower left
corner
The payload consists of the following components:
— The weight of the passenger
— On the type plate at the bottom of the right mid-
dle body pillar of the vehicle
— The weight of all luggage and other loads
— The weight of the roof, including the roof rack
system
— The weight of the equipment that is excluded
from the operating weight
