● Do not secure any luggage carriers or other carrier systems such as bicycle carriers on the vehicle’s rear spoiler.

Opening the luggage compartment cover

Depending on the vehicle equipment, there may be a luggage compartment cover behind the second seat row.

1. Pull the luggage compartment cover back with the handle → Fig. 1 1 and lift upwards out of the side holders.

2. Guide the luggage compartment cover forwards by hand. The luggage compartment then rolls up.

Closing the luggage compartment cover

1. Use the handle → Fig. 1 1 to pull back the luggage compartment cover and hook it into the retainers.

WARNING

Objects or animals on the luggage compartment cover can damage the luggage compartment cover and cause serious or fatal

injuries in the event of sudden driving and braking manoeuvres or accidents.

● Never transport any objects on the luggage compartment cover.

● Never transport any animals on the luggage compartment cover.

NOTICE

If you do not hold the luggage compartment cover, it can shoot forwards in an uncontrolled way. This can cause damage in the

luggage compartment and to the luggage compartment cover.

● Always guide the luggage compartment cover forwards by hand.

Removing the luggage compartment cover

1. Open the luggage compartment cover, if necessary.

2. Press and hold the side part of the luggage compartment cover → Fig. 1 1 in the direction of the arrow.

3. Remove the luggage compartment cover upwards and release the side part → Fig. 1 1 .

Fitting the luggage compartment cover

1. Place one side of the luggage compartment cover in the mount on the corresponding side trim.

2. Press and hold the side part on the other side of the luggage compartment cover.

3. Guide the side part → Fig. 1 1 into the mounting on the corresponding side trim.

4. Release the side part of the luggage compartment cover.

5. Check that the luggage compartment cover is securely engaged.

WARNING

If the luggage compartment cover is installed in front of a rear seat, this could cause serious or fatal injuries in the event of braking

manoeuvres or an accident.

● Never install the luggage compartment cover in front of the third seat row if there are persons on the rear seats in the third seat

row.

Under the luggage compartment floor: stowing the luggage

compartment cover.

Depending on the equipment level, the removed luggage compartment cover can be stowed under the luggage compartment floor.

Stowing the luggage compartment cover

1. Remove the luggage compartment cover (→ Luggage compartment cover).

2. Raise the luggage compartment floor or fold it forwards .

3. If necessary, remove the covers of the side supports on the right and left.

4. Fit the removed luggage compartment cover → Fig. 1 1 in the rear recesses of the side supports, starting on the left.

5. If necessary, install the covers of the side supports on the right and left.

6. Close the luggage compartment floor.
