Suitable lashing, retaining or securing straps and load securing systems are available from a suitably qualified workshop.
Volkswagen recommends using a Volkswagen dealership.
The side nets can help to prevent light items of cargo from sliding around in the luggage compartment. There is a pocket in each side
net for stowing smaller objects.
Side nets can be attached to the sides of the luggage compartment and behind the rear bench seat in the second row of seats or,
depending on equipment, behind the third row of seats. The correct installation position is marked with a pictogram on the respective
side net.
Attaching and removing the side nets
In the luggage compartment on the left: attached side net.
In the luggage compartment behind the second row of seats:
attached side net.
It may be necessary to fold out fastening rings in order to use them. The illustrations show the attachment of the side net on the left
side and behind the second row of seats. The side net is attached in the same way at the corresponding attachment points on the
right-hand side and behind the third row of seats.
Attaching side nets:
1. Fold the corresponding side or both sides of the rear seat backrest forwards.
2. Hook the lower hooks of the side net into the corresponding fastening ring (arrows) → Fig. 1, → Fig. 2, →
3. Attach the upper loops of the side net to the corresponding rear hooks → Fig. 1, → Fig. 2 (arrows).
4. Fold the rear seat backrest back until it locks in position.
