synchronised after programming.

The functions of up to three different radio

remote controls of certain products (e.g. the

electric drive for the outside gate or garage

door, the house alarm system or the lighting

system) can be transferred to the buttons of the

ceiling control unit.

The programming must be carried out within

approx. 5 minutes. If this time is exceeded, the

programming is interrupted.

Pre-programming steps

– Familiarise yourself with the product

manufacturer's manual.

– Position the vehicle close to the product.

– Switch on the ignition, but do not start the

engine, and leave it on for the duration of the

programming.

– The garage door or the electric drive

mechanism are incompatible. They should be

replaced.

– Make the settings for the garage door

opener control in the infotainment system

→ page 37.

– Programming has failed. Re-program the

garage door opener again.

– Press the → button fig. 85 .

If the key cannot be programmed, this may be

due to the following causes:

– Follow the instructions of the infotainment

system.

– The hand transmitter switches off after a very

short time. Operate the hand transmitter

again.

– With the ignition switched on or the engine

running, press the corresponding button on

the pa- rasol → under Problems and

solutions on p. 112.

– The hand-held transmitter is not in the

correct position. Move the hand-held

transmitter to a different angle or at a

different distance.

The programming process is indicated by the

LEDs in the key row flashing orange.

To indicate that programming has been

successfully completed, the indicators light up

three times and the LEDs in the key row light

up green.

If the garage door opener is used carelessly

Clear programming of all keys

● Only use the garage door opener when you

can see that there is no one in the

operating area of the product in question.

Volkswagen recommends deleting the

functions programmed in the buttons when the

vehicle is loaned or sold.

NOTICE

The use of unsuitable batteries may damage

the RF remote control. Therefore, always replace

the exhausted battery with a new one of the

same voltage, size and specification.

To confirm that the key programming has been

of keys.

To indicate that programming has been

interrupted, the LEDs in the button row light up

red and the indicator lights flash once.

If the garage door or the electric drive does not

work, this may be due to the following causes:

– The button batteries in the radio remote

control are empty. Replace the batteries.

– The distance or angle of emission is too

great. Try different distances and angles to

the receiver.
