▷
▷
▷

Opening the cargo area
1. Stand in the middle behind the vehicle at
approx. one arm's length away from the
rear of the vehicle.
▷
After improper paint work on the vehicle in
the area of the sensors.
Movement in range of the sensors may cause
the trunk to open or close unintentionally, e.g.,
when objects are lifted quickly in the vehicle
rear or due to the moving brushes in a car
wash. To prevent such unintended opening of
the cargo area in such cases, keep the vehicle
key at a sufficient distance from the rear of the
vehicle.
2. Move one foot in the direction of travel
under the vehicle and pull it back immedi-
ately or use one foot to swipe in one direc-
tion under the vehicle. During these move-
ments, the leg must pass through the range
of the sensor.
Depending on vehicle equipment: Objects
mounted on a trailer hitch cannot be detected
if the trailer power socket is not plugged in.
Trunk emergency unlocking
Before the cargo area opens, the hazard warn-
ing system flashes.
Moving a foot again will stop the opening proc-
cedure. The subsequent foot movement will
close the cargo area again.
Pull the handle inside the cargo area.
The trunk is unlocked.
