There is mobile radio communications re‐  
ception.  
Vehicle equipment  
This chapter describes all the standard equip‐  
ment, national-market-specific equipment and  
optional extras offered in the model series.  
Consequently, you will find that it contains de‐  
scriptions of items not available in a particular  
vehicle on account of a combination of options,  
for example, or the constraints applying to cer‐  
tain national-market versions. This also applies  
to safety-relevant functions and systems.  
The ignition is switched on.  
Active ConnectedDrive contract or equip‐  
ment with intelligent emergency calling.  
The following prerequisites may also have to  
be met:  
The SIM card is enabled for free service  
numbers.  
Country-specific regulations must be observed  
when using the corresponding functions and  
systems.

You cannot use TeleServices or Connected‐  
Drive unless these services have been ena‐  
bled.  
General  
TeleServices supports communication with  
the Service centre.  
1. Radio-ready state or switch on the ignition.  
Data on the servicing needs of the vehicle  
can be transferred directly to the Service  
centre. In so doing, the Service centre can  
initiate the work needed earlier. The work‐  
shop stay is shortened.

In case of accident, data on the vehicle  
condition can be transferred to the Mobile  
Service centre. It might be that malfunc‐  
tions can be remedied directly.

tedDrive are enabled and data interchange  
with the Service begins. The enabling  
process takes a few minutes to complete.  
Status is shown on the display.  
The offering is country-specific.  
Connection charges can be incurred.  
Services can be limited abroad.  
Information service  
Requirements  
Vehicle is equipped with Business preparation  
for mobile phone.  
General  
The information service provides information  
on, for example, hotels, 24-hour pharmacies  
etc. and transmits their telephone numbers  
and addresses to the vehicle. You can place  
calls directly to the telephone numbers.  
Different TeleServices versions are possible in  
the vehicle. The following prerequisites must  
always be met:

Starting the information service

inspections for your vehicle are transmitted au‐  
tomatically before a service or inspection is

Breakdown recovery  
You can also contact your Service centre for  
example if you want to arrange a date and time  
to have your vehicle serviced. The requisite ve‐  
hicle data are transmitted to the Service cen‐  
tre.  
It is possible to contact the Mobile Service of‐  
fered by the BMW Group if you require help in  
the event of a breakdown.

Viewing services  
You will be notified accordingly whenever the  
BMW TeleServices or ConnectedDrive offer‐  
ings change. Under these circumstances you  
should update the services.  
My Info  
You can use this service to transmit text mes‐  
sages in combination with phone numbers via  
ConnectedDrive to the vehicle for viewing.

Viewing vehicle data  
With BMW TeleServices or ConnectedDrive  
enabled you van view your vehicle's VIN, in  
other words the Vehicle Identification Number.  
You can view a maximum of ten messages. If  
more than that number of messages are re‐  
ceived existing messages are automatically  
deleted.
