COMFORT & SAFETY -> Rear Seats for Your Citroen C4 SUV First Generation (2004-2010)

To lower the head restraints, press  
on the unlocking controls.  
To remove them, pull upwards as  
far as permitted, then press on the  
unlocking controls.  
Note: Never drive the vehicle  
without the head restraints fitted.

Rear head restraints  
The rear head restraints have two  
positions:  
- A stowed position for when the  
seat is not occupied.  
- A fully raised position aimed at  
maximising the safety of pas-  
sengers, including when using  
a forward-facing child seat.  
Rear armrest  
Lower it to gain access to the shelf  
located on the backrest.  
Lift the cover. It comprises a tray  
with two cup-holders and two pen-  
holders.  
Before folding the seat  
Before tipping the rear seat, make sure that the seat belts will not be  
snagged or trapped by the seat and its catches.  
Position them carefully to the sides of the backrests.

Removing the seat base  
To improve seating versatility, the  
rear seats are removable.  
Detach one of the linkages from  
its securing point, then disengage  
the other linkage to remove the  
seat assembly.  
Stow the head restraints. Press on  
control A located on the extremity  
of the backrest and tilt fully for-  
wards.  
The benchseat backrest can be  
folded in two. When repositioning  
the backrest, make sure that it is  
correctly locked in place.  
Raise the front of the seat base  
(arrow 1), then tilt the base against  
the backrests of the front seats  
(arrow 2). When repositioning the  
seat base, make sure that the seat  
belt buckles are back in place.  
Press on control A and tilt the  
backrest.  
Note: If you fold the benchseat  
partially, you must also fold the  
corresponding backrest.  
When you are handling the rear  
seats, avoid trapping the seat  
belts and make sure that the belt  
buckles are positioned correctly.
