Knowing Your Car -> Boot for Your Fiat 500 C 2 Door First Generation (2009-2015)

Emergency manoeuvre  
If the control buttons fail to operate, the  
soft top can be moved manually, proceeding as  
follows:  
• take the key provided and located in the  
boot in combination with the tool box or  
the Fix&Go Automatic kit.  
• fit the key in position, visible from  
inside the luggage compartment beneath the  
parcel shelf in the point illustrated;  
• turn: clockwise to open the soft top;  
anticlockwise to close it.  
ELECTRIC WINDOWS

Refer to the image of the dashboard on page 4 of this Quick Guide.  
• These operate when the ignition key is turned to MAR and for about two minutes  
after turning the key to STOP or extracting it.  
• The two buttons are located to the side of the gear lever (one per side).  
• If the button is held down for several seconds, the window raises or lowers  
automatically (only with key in MAR position).  
BOOT

ELECTRICAL HANDLE (SOFT TOUCH)  
• Operate the electrical handle to open the  
tailgate.  
• To release the lock manually, use the metal  
insert of the ignition key.  
• To release the lock with the remote  
control, press button  
.
• To close, use the tape located inside the  
tailgate.  
• If the tailgate is not shut properly the  
instrument panel warning light  
(where provided) will switch on.

Opening the tailgate with top fully open (

• Press the “one-touch” tailgate opening button once to automatically close the  
top to spoiler position. The tailgate can be opened in spoiler position.  
Tailgate emergency opening  
To open the tailgate from the passenger  
compartment if the car battery is run down  
or the electric tailgate lock is faulty,  
proceed as follows:  
• take out the rear head restraints;  
• tilt the backrests;  
• to unlock the tailgate mechanically,  
working from inside the luggage  
compartment, operate lever A.  
BONNET

• Pull the release lever located  
under the instrument panel in front  
of the driver’s door. Refer to the  
image of the dashboard in this  
section of the Quick Guide.  
• Raise the bonnet and locate the  
safety clip in the middle of the  
bonnet.  
• Insert the bonnet stay in its  
housing in the bonnet.  
• To close the bonnet, remove the  
bonnet stay and put it back in its  
own locking device, slowly lower  
the bonnet to about 20 cm from the  
engine compartment, then let it  
drop into position and check that  
it is completely closed. If not,  
repeat the procedure.  
• Move the safety clip and raise the  
bonnet at the same time.
