CONTROL PANEL AND INSTRUMENTS  
WARNING LIGHTS AND MESSAGES  
- LOW BRAKE FLUID LEVEL (red) The warning light turns on when the level  
of the brake fluid in the reservoir falls below the minimum level due  
to a possible leak in the circuit. This warning light also switches on  
when the handbrake is engaged.  
- Airbag failure (red) The warning light stays on constantly if there  
is a fault in the airbag system.  
- Engine coolant overheating (red) The warning light switches on when  
the engine is overheated.  
- Low battery charge (red) The warning light should switch off as soon  
as the engine starts. If the warning light stays on or flashes, there  
is a fault with the battery or the recharging system.  
- Low engine oil pressure (red) The warning light should switch off as  
soon as the engine starts. If the warning light stays on or flashes,  
there is a fault with the engine oil pressure. The warning light also  
begins to flash when the system detects that an oil change is  
necessary (only diesel engines with DPF).

- “Dualdrive” electric power steering failure (red) If the warning light  
stays on, electric power steering is not available. The effort  
required to steer will be greater, but it will still be possible to  
steer.  
- Doors not properly shut (red) The warning light switches on when one  
or more doors or the tailgate are not perfectly closed. An acoustic  
signal is emitted with the doors open and the car moving.  
- Automatic gearbox failure/automatic gearbox oil maximum temperature  
(red) The warning light on the panel starts to flash (together with a  
message on the display and an acoustic signal) when a fault with the  
gearbox is detected.  
- Seat belts not fastened (red) The warning light on the panel switches  
on together with a buzzer to indicate an incorrectly fastened driver's  
side seat belt.  
- EBD failure (red)(amber) Both warning lights on at the same time with  
the engine running indicate an EBD system failure or that the system  
is not available.  
- Passenger side airbag deactivated (amber) The warning light switches  
on when the front passenger's airbag is deactivated.  
- ABS system failure (amber) The warning light switches on when the  
system is not working correctly or is not available.  
- Start&Stop system deactivation (amber) The warning light switches on  
when the Start&Stop system is turned off by pressing the button on the  
dashboard.  
- EOBD engine management/injection system warning light (amber) If the  
warning lights stays on or switches on whilst driving, it indicates  
that the injection system is not operating correctly.  
- DPF (particulate filter) cleaning in progress (amber) The warning light  
switches on constantly to notify the customer when the DPF system  
needs to eliminate the trapped pollutants (particulate) through the  
regeneration process.  
- Fuel reserve (amber) The warning light switches on when about  
5 litres of fuel are left in the tank.  
- Glow plug preheating (amber) The warning light flashes if there is a  
fault in the preheating system.  
- Water in diesel filter (amber) The warning light switches on when  
there is water in the diesel filter.  
- Car protection system fault – Fiat Code (amber) If, with the engine  
running, the warning lights flashes, it means that the car is not  
protected by the engine immobiliser device.  
- Rear fog lights (amber) The warning light switches on when the rear  
fog lights are switched on.  
- General failure indication (amber) The warning light switches on in  
the following cases: engine oil pressure sensor fault, water in diesel  
filter, fuel cut-off switch tripped/fuel cut-off not available,  
exterior lights failure, parking sensor failure.  
- ESP system failure/ Hill Holder failure (yellow) The warning light  
switches on to indicate an ESP/Hill Holder failure.

- Brake pad wear (amber) The warning light on the dial switches on  
(together with a message on the display) if the front brake pads are  
worn.  
- Side lights and dipped headlights (green) Follow Me Home (green) The  
warning light switches on when side lights or dipped headlights are  
switched on.  
- Fog lights (green) The warning light switches on when the front fog  
lights are switched on.  
- Left direction indicator (green - intermittent) The warning light  
switches on when the direction indicator control lever is moved  
downwards or, together with the right indicator, when the hazard  
warning light button is pressed.  
- Right direction indicator (green - intermittent) The warning light  
switches on when the direction indicator control lever is moved  
upwards or, together with the left indicator, when the hazard warning  
light button is pressed.  
- Main beam headlights (blue) The warning light switches on when the  
main beam headlights are turned on.  
- “Dualdrive”electric power steering engagement The CITY indication  
appears on the multifunction display when the “Dualdrive” electric  
power steering system is activated by pressing the relevant control  
button.  
- SPORT function engagement The SPORT indication appears on the  
multifunction display when this function is activated by pressing the  
relevant control button.  
- ECO function engagement The ECO indication appears on the  
multifunction display when this function is activated by pressing the  
relevant control button. The indication ECO will switch off when the  
button is pressed again.  
‘Possible presence of ice on the road’: When the outside temperature reaches or  
falls below 3°C the outside temperature indicator flashes to indicate the  
possible presence of ice on the road.  
‘Speed limit exceeded’: The display shows the dedicated message when the car  
exceeds the set speed limit.  
‘Limited range’: The display shows the dedicated message to warn the driver that  
the car’s range is less than 50 km.  
‘ASR system’: The display provides a dedicated message to inform the driver that  
the system is deactivated.
