LOAD
COMPARTMENT
62) For safety reasons, the bonnet must
always be properly closed while the car is
travelling. Therefore, make sure that the
bonnet is properly closed and that the lock
is engaged. If you discover that the bonnet
is not perfectly closed during travel, stop
immediately and close the bonnet in the
correct manner.
IMPORTANT
56) Before doing anything under the
bonnet, you must switch off the ignition
to avoid any risk of the engine restarting
automatically (fig. 312). Take care with
objects or clothing that could be caught in
the blades of the cooling fan or in certain
moving components - risk of strangulation
and serious injury!
TAILGATE
Opening
63) Perform these operations only when
the car is stationary.
57) For electric vehicles: before any
work is carried out under the bonnet,
it is essential to switch off the ignition
and disconnect the charging cable if it is
connected (fig. 90), check that the READY
indicator lamp is off on the instrument
panel and wait 4 minutes - risk of serious
injury!
58) When the engine is hot, handle the
exterior safety catch and the bonnet
stay with care (risk of burns), using the
protected area. When the bonnet is open,
take care not to damage the safety catch.
Do not open the bonnet under very windy
conditions.
59) Cooling of the engine when stopped
The engine cooling fan may start after
the engine has been switched off. Take
care with objects or clothing that could be
caught in the blades of the fan!
60) The bonnet may drop suddenly if the
supporting rod is not positioned correctly.
61) Use both hands to lift the bonnet.
Before lifting, check that the windscreen
wiper arms are not raised from the
windscreen or in operation, that the car
is stationary and that the electric parking
brake is engaged.
WARNING
21) Before opening the bonnet, deactivate
the Stop-Start system.
22) Do not press the bonnet into the latch
to avoid dents.
23) Because of the presence of electrical

recommended that exposure to water
(rain, washing, etc.) be limited.
