Child safety system for rear
windows
IMPORTANT
55) Incorrect use of the electric windows
may be dangerous. Before and during their
operation, ensure that any passengers are
not at risk from the moving glass either
by personal objects getting caught in the
mechanism or by being hit by it directly.
When leaving the vehicle (equipped with
radio remote control), always remove the
key from the ignition device to prevent
accidental operation of the electric
windows from being a hazard for those still
on board.

Overload
If the windows are repeatedly operated
within short intervals, the window
operation is disabled for some time.
19) If the vehicle has a front-looking
camera sensor for the driver assistance
systems, it is very important that any
windscreen replacement is performed
accurately according to the Manufacturer
specifications. Otherwise, these systems
may not work properly and there is a
risk of unexpected behaviour and / or
messages from these systems.
Closing windows from outside
The windows can be closed remotely
from outside the vehicle.
Initialising the power windows
Activate the window electronics as
follows:
1. Close doors.
2. Switch on ignition.
20) Take care when operating the power
windows. Risk of injury, particularly to
children. If there are children on the rear
seats, switch on the child safety system
for the power windows. Keep a close
watch on the windows when closing them.
Ensure that nothing becomes trapped in
them as they move.
3. Open the window completely by
using the switch.
4. Pull the switch repeatedly until the
window is completely closed and keep
pushing for additional 1 second. Note
that the window closes only a few
centimetres after each pull of the
switch.
5. Repeat for each window.
