Activating the device: the device is
automatically activated on all the doors
by quickly and briefly double-pressing
the button on the key with remote
control.
The device remains engaged even if the
doors are electrically unlocked.

6) Once the dead lock device has been
actuated, doors cannot be opened from
the passenger's compartment in any way
whatsoever. For this reason, make sure
there are no persons left inside the vehicle.
Deactivating the device: the device is
automatically deactivated by opening
the driver side door with the mechanical
ignition key or unlocking the doors
with the remote control (pressing the
button on the key with remote
control) or by turning the ignition key to
MAR.
The rear doors are fitted with an
emergency device B fig. 6 that allows
the doors to be locked when there is no
current
7) If the battery of the key with remote
control is down, the dead lock device can
be deactivated only by fitting the metal
insert of the key in both front door revolving
plugs as described previously: in this case
the dead lock device will stay engaged
only on the rear doors.
CHILD SAFETY DEVICE
(for versions/markets, where provided)
8) Always use this device when carrying
children. After engaging the device on both
rear doors, check for proper engagement
by trying to open a rear door with the
internal handle.

This system prevents the rear doors
from being opened from the inside. This
device can be engaged only with the
doors open.
9) Do not activate the child lock device if
the rear doors emergency lock device
is already activated. If both have
been activated, you need to use the interior
handle to disengage the rear doors
emergency locking system and then open
the door from the outside.

Position 1: device on (door locked) /
Position 2: device off (door can be
opened from the inside).
Activating the device: fit the metal
insert of the key in the housing
indicated in fig. 6 and turn the device
from position 2 to position 1 (fig. 6).
Then close the door. With the device
active, use the internal handles to
reopen the rear doors.
