are retained on re-starting if the tem-
perature in the passenger compart-
ment has not changed signiicantly;
otherwise, operation resumes in au-
tomatic mode.
AUTOMATIC AIR CONDITIONING
The air conditioning can only operate when the engine is running.
When the engine is cold, to prevent
too great a distribution of cold air, the
ventilation will only reach its optimum
level gradually.
On entering the vehicle, if the interior
temperature is much colder or warm-
er than is comfortable, there is no
need to change the value displayed
in order to reach the required level of
comfort. The system eliminates the
temperature difference automatically
and as quickly as possible.

Manual operation
If you wish, you can make a different
choice from that offered by the sys-
tem by changing a setting. The other
functions will still be controlled auto-
matically.
Pressing the AUTO button returns
the system to completely automatic
operation.
