Advanced Driving Assistance Systems
When the reverse gear has been
engaged, the rear parking assist and the
front parking assist are activated.
After engaging the reverse gear, an
audible signal is given and a display
indication will be shown. If no audible
signal is given, the display indication
is not shown or a warning message
appears, the system has a failure.

Under certain circumstances, various
reflective surfaces on objects or
clothing as well as external noise
sources may cause the system to fail
to detect obstacles.
Special attention must be paid to low
obstacles, which can damage the lower
part of the bumper.
Additionally, the distance to obstacles is
displayed by changing distance lines in
the Information Display ð
If the vehicle has no radio or Information
Display and an obstacle gets closer,

The rear parking assist is switched off
when reverse gear is disengaged.
The front parking assist is switched off at
a speed above 8 mph. The front parking
assist reactivates only at a speed below
6 mph.

the vehicle with the need to stop the
vehicle, the system is deactivated.
In the case of a gearbox failure, the
parking assist system is not active,

in the Information Display, the audible
signals may not be given.
The performance of the system can be
reduced when the sensors are covered,
e.g. by ice or snow.
The performance of the parking
assist system may be limited or the
functionality may not be available at all
