Battery - symbols
There are information and warning symbols on
the batteries.
Starter battery - replacement
The starter battery should be replaced by an
authorised workshop.
Avoid sparks and naked
flames.
Volvo recommends that you allow an authorised
workshop to replace the batteries - an authorised
Volvo workshop is recommended.
Symbols on the batteries
Use protective goggles.
Risk of explosion.

Must be taken for recycling.
Store the battery out of the
reach of children.
NOTE
An expended starter battery or support bat-
tery must be recycled in an environmentally
safe manner since it contains lead.
The battery contains corro-
sive acid.
