1. Touch the sensor fig. 43 on the inside of the driver or passenger door handle.
The turn signals flash twice when unlocking the vehicle.
Unlocking the vehicle upon approach
Depending on the vehicle equipment, the vehicle can be automatically unlocked upon approach. The following conditions
must be met at the same time:
The function is activated in the Infotainment system.
The remote control vehicle key is in the vehicle unlocking area.
If automatic unlocking is successful, all of the turn signals will flash twice.
If the vehicle is not unlocked for a long period of time, the function will only available again after the next time the engine is
started.
If single door unlocking is activated, the driver door can only be unlocked by approaching the driver's side. Other doors will no
be unlocked.
Locking the vehicle
1. Switch the ignition off.
2. Close the driver door or front passenger door.
3. Touch the sensor fig. 43 on the outside of the driver or passenger door handle.
All turn signals flash once when locking the vehicle.
Locking the Vehicle Upon Exiting
Depending on the vehicle equipment, the vehicle can be locked automatically upon exiting. The following conditions must be
met at the same time:
The function is activated in the Infotainment system.
The last key belonging to the vehicle exits the locking area.
If automatic locking is successful, all of the turn signals will flash once.
If another vehicle key is in the vehicle, the vehicle will not lock automatically.
To deactivate automatic locking once:
1. Press the
button for longer than two seconds with a door open.
Automatic locking will be unavailable until the next time the vehicle is deliberately locked.
The vehicle will only lock if all of the doors and the trunk lid are closed. Depending on the vehicle settings, a double
warning tone may sound to indicate open doors or windows.
If the key is within the detection range around the vehicle for a long period of time, there may be restrictions to locking upon
exiting or unlocking upon approach.
Some devices may prevent locking. The vehicle then remains unlocked without an audible warning. Always be aware of
whether or not the vehicle is locked.
If the vehicle is parked for a long time and has not been used, the vehicle can only be unlocked via the sensor on the
inside of the driver door handle or the vehicle key.
Unlocking and locking the trunk lid
If the vehicle is locked and a vehicle key is within the trunk lid sensor range, the trunk lid will unlock automatically when
opened fig. 42.
