Removing
– Remove front backrest ⇒ Rep. gr. 72 ; Removing and in‐
stalling front backrest .
– Remove head restraint ⇒ Rep. gr. 72 ; Removing and in‐
stalling head restraint .
– Remove front centre armrest ⇒ Rep. gr. 68 ; Removing and
installing front centre armrest .
– Unclip caps of head restraint lock using commercially availa‐
ble plastic wedge.
Vehicles with folding table
– Remove folding table ⇒ Rep. gr. 72 ; Removing and instal‐
ling folding table .
All vehicles (continued)
– Open beading strips -4- in direction of -arrow- using hook -
3438- .
– Open zip fastener.
– Roll backrest cover -1- upwards at front and at rear.
CAUTION
It is possible to trigger pyrotechnic components unintentional‐
ly.
Risk of injury
– Discharge static electricity by briefly touching door striker
plate.
NOTICE
Risk of irreparable damage due to electrostatic discharge.
– Do not touch connector contacts with your hands.
– Touch the lifting platform or other earthed object to dis‐
charge static electricity.
– Cut through upholstery clips using commercially available
pliers.
– Use release tool - T10236- to release clip -2- on both sides.
– Cut through additional upholstery clips using commercially
available pliers.
– Remove backrest cover -1- with padding from backrest
frame -3-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
