Removing
– Separate ⇒ Rep. gr. 74 ; seat pan cover from seat pan
padding .
Important
•
Commercially available hot air blower should be set to
220°C.
•
Distance to be maintained between hot air blower and pad‐
ding must be approx. 30 cm.
– Apply heat to defective heater element in area of bonded
joint.
– Grasp heater element in area of adhesive strips, and careful‐
ly detach it while continuously applying hot air.
– When so, slowly pull off heater element at an angle of ap‐
prox. 45°.
Note

Adhesive remains of the detective heater element may remain
on the padding.
– Make sure that no larger fragments of the padding are torn
out.
Note
Small torn out fragments are permissible.
Installing
Note
There are grooved recesses in the padding in which the wires
run. The seat pan cover is attached to the wires by means of
upholstery clips.
– Make sure that heater element comes fully into contact with
padding in grooved recesses.
If bonding requires correction:
– Use new heater element.
