On the Phaeton, Tiptronic gear selection
can be operated by the selector lever.

The automatic transmission is switched to
Tiptronic mode by moving the selector lever
to the right from the “D” position into the
Tiptronic notch.

Gear change must then be made by
moving the selector lever.
Moving the selector lever forward shifts
up a gear, moving the lever back shifts
down a gear.
