Usage
The availability of the applications depends on the
vehicle and Infotainment type as well as being coun-
try-specific.
The personalisation service allows Infotainment set-
tings to be set and saved.
The following conditions must be met for the instal-
lation of the new applications:
The personalisation service is connected to the user
accounts. Any change to the set personalised func-
tions is automatically stored in the active user ac-
count.

The vehicle has an internet connection.
The VW Play Apps function is available.
The user is registered and has logged into VW
Play Apps.

Create user account
There is a free memory space in the Infotain-
ment.
To create a user account
Quick settings Profile
and follow the instructions on the screen.
The charge state of the 12-volt vehicle battery
is sufficient.

Operation Valet mode on / off
When the function is switched on, the Infotainment
screen is locked by means of a security lock.
Restriction
The screen is unlocked again by entering the securi-
ty PIN.

The functions are linked to the vehicle, not to the
user account. These cannot be transferred to any
other vehicle in which the user logs on.
— To lock the screen, tap on
Quick settings Valet
mode and enter the security PIN for confirmation.
— To unlock the screen, tap on the screen and enter
the security PIN.
For reasons of safety, the operation of some appli-
cations while driving is not possible or only limited.
VW Play Apps
Settings

Tap on VW Play Apps.
In the Infotainment in the VW Play Apps menu, new
apps can be downloaded and installed in the Info-
tainment.
— Scan the QR code with the mobile phone.
Or:
— Enter the reference given in the infotainment
screen into the web browser.
The installed applications are bound to the selected
user profile.
— Follow the instructions on the mobile phone dis-
play and complete the registration.
After successfully completing your user registration,
you will receive a confirming e-mail.
